5.3 Frying Food
- Ensure food is dry before frying to prevent excessive splashing and to achieve crispier results.
- Place food into the frying basket. Do not overload the basket, as this can lower oil temperature and result in soggy food.
- Slowly lower the basket into the hot oil.
- Fry for the recommended time or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Carefully lift the basket and hook it onto the side of the fryer to allow excess oil to drain.
- Remove food from the basket and place it on paper towels to absorb any remaining oil.

7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Fryer does not turn on. | No power supply; plug not fully inserted; circuit breaker tripped. | Check power outlet; ensure plug is fully inserted; reset circuit breaker. |
| Oil not heating. | Temperature knob not set; heating element not properly seated; thermal cut-off activated. | Ensure temperature knob is set; check heating element assembly connection; allow fryer to cool and reset if equipped with a manual reset button (consult manufacturer if unsure). |
| Food is soggy/not crispy. | Oil temperature too low; basket overloaded; food not dry. | Allow oil to reach set temperature; fry smaller batches; ensure food is patted dry before frying. |
| Excessive smoking. | Oil temperature too high; old/burnt oil; oil type not suitable. | Reduce temperature; replace old oil; use oil with a higher smoke point. |
