Product Overview

The CallToU Wireless Caregiver Pager System is designed to provide reliable and convenient communication for caregivers and individuals needing assistance. Setup

1. Plug-in Receiver Setup

  1. Placement: Select an electrical outlet in a central location or where the caregiver is most likely to hear the alert.
  2. Power On: Plug the receiver directly into a standard electrical outlet. The indicator light will illuminate.
  3. Ringtone and Volume Selection:
    • Press the "Music" button on the side of the plug-in receiver to cycle through 55 available ringtones.
    • Press the "Volume" button to adjust the volume level (5 levels, from 0dB to 110dB).

2. USB Receiver Setup

  1. Charging: Before first use, fully charge the USB receiver using the provided USB charging cable. A red light indicates charging, and it turns off when fully charged. Charging time is approximately 2 hours.
  2. Placement: The USB receiver is portable and can be carried in a pocket or attached to metal surfaces like a refrigerator using the magnetic sticker.
  3. Ringtone and Volume Selection:
    • The USB receiver offers 4 ringtones. Use the side buttons to select.
    • Adjust volume using the side buttons (5 levels, from 0dB to 110dB).

3. Call Button Pairing (Pre-paired from factory)

The call buttons are pre-paired with the receivers from the factory. No manual pairing is typically required for initial setup. If a button loses connection or you wish to add more buttons, refer to the "Troubleshooting" section for re-pairing instructions.

Operating Instructions

1. Using the Call Buttons

Both the wrist-worn and pendant-style call buttons are designed for easy activation. To send an alert, simply press the large red "SOS" button on the wrist button or the blue "CALL" button on the pendant button.

  • Wrist Button: Wear comfortably on the wrist. Ideal for quick access.
  • Pendant Button: Can be worn around the neck using the included string, or placed near the bed, in the bathroom, or other strategic locations.

2. Receiving Alerts

When a call button is pressed, both the plug-in receiver and the USB receiver will sound the selected ringtone and flash their indicator lights. The system has an open area working range of 500+ feet, allowing for alerts to be received across different rooms or even outdoors within range.

Maintenance

1. Battery Management

  • USB Receiver: Recharge the USB receiver when the low battery reminder activates. A full charge takes approximately 2 hours and provides 3-7 days of normal use or 14 days of standby battery life.
  • Call Buttons: The call buttons use AAA batteries (included). While the product description mentions "no need to replace batteries" for the USB receiver, the specifications indicate AAA batteries for the system. Monitor button performance; if alerts become inconsistent, consider replacing the button's battery.

2. Water Resistance

The call buttons are IP55 waterproof, meaning they are protected against dust and low-pressure water jets. They are suitable for use in bathrooms or during light splashes, but should not be submerged in water.

3. Cleaning

Wipe the devices with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse any part of the receivers in water.

Troubleshooting
