1. Introduction

Welcome to the user manual for your Ninco Air Whip2 RC Helicopter. This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective operation, setup, and maintenance of your new remote-controlled helicopter. The Whip2 is designed as an ideal entry-level RC helicopter due to its compact size and high resistance, making it suitable for beginners.

Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the helicopter to ensure proper use and to prevent damage or injury.

4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Helicopter Battery

  1. Locate the 3.7V Li-Po battery compartment on the helicopter.
  2. Connect the helicopter's battery to the provided USB charging cable.
  3. Plug the USB charging cable into a standard USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter).
  4. The charging indicator light on the USB cable will show the charging status (refer to the cable's specific instructions for light behavior).
  5. Charging typically takes approximately 60-90 minutes. Do not overcharge.
  6. Once fully charged, disconnect the cable and securely place the battery back into the helicopter.

4.2 Installing Remote Control Batteries

The remote control requires 6 AAA batteries (not included).

  1. Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
  2. Insert 6 new AAA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close the battery compartment securely.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Pairing the Helicopter and Remote

  1. Ensure both the helicopter and remote control have fresh or fully charged batteries.
  2. Place the helicopter on a flat, level surface.
  3. Turn on the helicopter's power switch. The helicopter's lights may flash.
  4. Turn on the remote control's power switch.
  5. Move the throttle stick (left stick) all the way up, then all the way down. This will initiate the pairing process.
  6. Once paired, the helicopter's lights will stop flashing and remain solid. You are now ready to fly.

5.2 Basic Flight Controls (2-Channel)

The Ninco Air Whip2 is a 2-channel RC helicopter, meaning it primarily controls vertical movement (throttle) and rotation (yaw). It features a slight automatic feed for forward movement.

  • Left Stick (Throttle):
    • Push up: Increase altitude (helicopter ascends).
    • Pull down: Decrease altitude (helicopter descends).
  • Right Stick (Direction/Yaw):
    • Push left: Helicopter rotates counter-clockwise.
    • Push right: Helicopter rotates clockwise.
  • Front Light: The helicopter is equipped with a front light for improved visibility.

Tip: Mastering flight requires practice. Start with small, gentle movements of the sticks. The helicopter has a slight automatic forward movement, so focus on maintaining altitude and controlling rotation to guide it.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the helicopter and remote control. Do not use water or chemical cleaners.
  • Blade Inspection: Regularly check the rotor blades for any damage (cracks, bends). Damaged blades can affect flight performance and safety. Replace if necessary.
  • Storage: Store the helicopter and remote control in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: Always remove batteries from the remote control if not used for extended periods. For the Li-Po battery, avoid fully discharging it and store it with a partial charge if possible.
