Important Safety Information

AVOID DROWNING RISK. This pool cover is NOT A SAFETY COVER. Do not stand or place weight on the cover. Keep children away from the pool cover. Children or objects cannot be seen under the cover. Remove any standing water from the cover, as a child can drown on top of it. Remove the cover completely before anyone enters the pool to prevent entrapment. Non-secured or improperly secured covers are a hazard. Failure to follow all instructions may result in injury or drowning. This cover’s classification is OC (Other Cover) and meets the requirements described in specification F1346.

Setup Instructions

The Bestway Steel Pro MAX pool is designed for simple assembly, typically requiring 1-2 people and no additional tools. Ensure you have a level surface before beginning.

Pool Frame Assembly

1. Prepare the Area: Select a firm, level area free of sharp objects and debris. Lay a ground cloth (not included) for added protection.
2. Lay Liner Flat: Unfold the pool liner and lay it flat in the chosen area, ensuring the drain valve is positioned correctly. Smooth out any wrinkles.
3. Assemble Frame: Connect the steel frame components using the FrameLink System. The ClickConnect System™ ensures a secure connection and prevents metal-on-metal contact, enhancing corrosion resistance. Follow the diagrams provided in the separate assembly guide for specific part connections.
4. Fill with Water: Once the frame is fully assembled and stable, begin filling the pool with water. As the water level rises, continue to smooth out any remaining wrinkles in the pool bottom.

Operating Instructions

Filter Pump Operation (Model #58388US)

The included 1,000-gallon filter pump is designed to circulate and filter your pool water, keeping it clean. It uses Type III-A/C filter cartridges.

• Connection: Connect the two hoses from the pump to the designated inlet and outlet ports on the pool liner. Ensure all connections are secure to prevent leaks.
• Power: The pump features an energy-saving plug, allowing you to set a timer for automatic shut-off. Refer to the separate filter pump manual for detailed timer settings and operation.
• Daily Operation: Run the filter pump daily for several hours to ensure proper water circulation and filtration. The exact duration depends on pool usage and environmental factors.

Water Management

To drain the pool, connect a garden hose to the built-in flow control valve. This allows for quick and easy drainage of pool water without the need for additional tools.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and hygiene of your pool.

• Water Chemistry: Regularly test and adjust pool water chemistry (pH, chlorine levels) according to recommended guidelines for safe and clean swimming.
• Filter Cartridge: Clean the filter cartridge frequently and replace it every two weeks, or more often depending on usage, to maintain optimal filtration performance.
• Pool Cleaning: Skim debris from the water surface daily. Vacuum the pool bottom as needed to remove settled dirt and particles.
