Add Water or Ice:
Open the lid of the cooler. For a swamp cooler effect, fill with water. For an air conditioning effect, add ice. The unit is designed to hold approximately 30 quarts (28 liters) of ice/water. Ice typically takes 5 to 6 hours to melt, providing extended cooling.
Connect Power:
Locate the 12V power input on the unit. Connect the provided 12V power cable to the unit and then to a compatible 12V output source (e.g., car, boat, truck 12V socket). Ensure the connection is secure.

Use LED Light:
Activate the built-in super bright LED light using its dedicated on/off switch for convenience in low-light conditions.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Regularly wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Ensure the unit is unplugged before cleaning.
- Water/Ice Reservoir: Periodically empty and clean the water/ice reservoir to prevent mold or mildew buildup. Use mild soap and water, then rinse thoroughly.
- Vents: Check the air vents for any obstructions and clean them if necessary to maintain optimal airflow.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, ensure the unit is clean and dry. Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Troubleshooting
Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
---|---|---|
Unit does not power on. | No power connection or faulty 12V source. | Ensure the 12V power cable is securely connected to both the unit and a working 12V output. Test the 12V source with another device if possible. |
Weak airflow. | Fan speed set too low; vents obstructed; low water/ice level. | Increase fan speed using the digital controller. Check and clear any obstructions from the vents. Ensure sufficient water or ice is in the reservoir. |
No cooling effect. | Insufficient ice; only water added (swamp cooler mode); unit placed in hot environment. | Add more ice for air conditioning effect. If using as a swamp cooler, ensure water is present. Move the unit to a cooler, shaded area if possible. |
Unusual noise during operation. | Fan obstruction; unit not on a level surface. | Check for any foreign objects near the fan blades. Ensure the unit is placed on a stable, level surface. |
