3. Setup

The DuroMax XP9000iH-PK Parallel Kit allows you to combine the power of two XP9000iH inverter generators. Follow these steps for proper setup:

  1. Unboxing and Inspection: Carefully remove the parallel kit from its packaging. Inspect for any damage. Ensure all components are present.
  2. Positioning Generators: Place your two DuroMax XP9000iH inverter generators on a level, stable surface outdoors, ensuring adequate ventilation and separation from any structures.
  3. Connecting the Parallel Kit:
    • Locate the parallel ports on each generator.
    • Connect the parallel cables from the kit to the corresponding ports on each generator. Ensure a firm and secure connection.
    • Connect the ground wire from the parallel kit to the ground terminal on one of the generators.

4. Operating Instructions

  1. Start Generators: Start both DuroMax XP9000iH generators according to their individual operating instructions. Ensure they are running smoothly before proceeding.
  2. Verify Power Output: Check the control panel of the parallel kit for power indicators. The kit includes a 30A 240V (L6-30) outlet and a 50A 240V (14-50) outlet.
  3. Connecting Loads: Plug your desired appliances or transfer switch into the appropriate outlets on the parallel kit. Ensure the total load does not exceed the combined running wattage of the two generators (15,200 running watts).
  4. Circuit Protection: The parallel kit features circuit protectors and circuit breakers to safeguard your appliances from overload. If a breaker trips, reduce the load and reset the breaker.
