4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Headset

  1. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the charging port on the headset unit.
  2. Plug the other end of the USB cable into a standard USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
  3. The indicator light will show charging status (refer to LED indicator section for details).
  4. A full charge takes approximately 4-5 hours.

4.2 Installation in Helmet

  1. Attach the Main Unit: Identify a suitable flat surface on the side of your helmet, typically near the chin bar or lower edge. Use the provided magic stickers to securely attach the main Bluetooth unit. Ensure the buttons are easily accessible.
  2. Position Speakers: Open the helmet's inner lining. Place the two speaker pads inside the helmet's ear pockets, ensuring they are aligned with your ears for optimal sound. Use the adhesive backing on the speaker pads if necessary to secure them.
  3. Position Microphone: Route the microphone arm towards your mouth. For full-face helmets, position the microphone close to your mouth, ideally within the chin bar area, to ensure clear voice pickup. For open-face helmets, ensure it is positioned to minimize wind noise.
  4. Cable Management: Carefully tuck all excess cables under the helmet's lining to prevent interference and ensure a neat installation.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

  • Power On: Press and hold the Power button (usually the central button) for approximately 3 seconds until the indicator light flashes.
  • Power Off: Press and hold the Power button for approximately 3 seconds until the indicator light turns off.

5.2 Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Ensure the headset is powered off.
  2. Press and hold the Power button for about 5-7 seconds until the indicator light flashes red and blue alternately, indicating pairing mode.
  3. On your mobile phone or Bluetooth device, enable Bluetooth and search for new devices.
  4. Select "BT-12" from the list of available devices.
  5. Once paired, the indicator light will flash blue slowly.

5.3 Call Management

  • Answer Call: Short press the Power button when an incoming call rings.
  • End Call: Short press the Power button during a call.
  • Reject Call: Press and hold the Power button for 2 seconds during an incoming call.
  • Redial Last Number: Double-press the Power button.

5.4 Music Playback

  • Play/Pause: Short press the Power button.
  • Next Track: Short press the "+" button.
  • Previous Track: Short press the "-" button.
  • Volume Up: Press and hold the "+" button.
  • Volume Down: Press and hold the "-" button.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the headset unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Storage: Store the headset in a cool, dry place when not in use. Avoid extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the device regularly, even if not in use for extended periods.
  • Water Exposure: While the device is IP54 rated for splash and dust resistance, avoid submerging it in water. Ensure the charging port cover is securely closed.
