3. Setup

3.1. Installing Batteries

The RC-405 remote control requires two (2) AAA alkaline batteries (not included). Follow these steps to install them:

Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control.
Slide the cover downwards or press the latch (if present) to open the compartment.
Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
Slide the battery compartment cover back into place until it clicks securely.

Important: Always replace both batteries at the same time with new ones. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.

4. Operating Instructions

Once batteries are installed, the RC-405 remote control is ready for use with compatible Kenwood CD and Digital Media Receivers. Point the remote directly at the receiver's infrared sensor and press the desired button.

6.1. Cleaning the Remote

To clean the remote control, wipe it gently with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Do not use abrasive cleaners, alcohol, or chemical solvents, as these can damage the remote's surface or internal components.

6.2. Battery Replacement
