4. Setup

4.1 Initial Assembly

The main unit typically comes pre-assembled. Ensure all components are securely fastened before first use. Connect the power cord to the power socket (9) and ensure the power switch (10) is in the OFF position.

4.2 Attaching Different Platens/Attachments

The machine features a detachable design, allowing you to easily switch between different heating elements. To change an attachment:

  1. Ensure the machine is powered off and completely cooled down.
  2. Disconnect the aviation connector (5) from the main unit.
  3. Unscrew any retaining bolts or clips holding the current attachment in place.
  4. Carefully remove the current attachment.
  5. Align the desired attachment (e.g., cap press, mug press, plate press) with the mounting points and secure it with the retaining bolts/clips.
  6. Reconnect the aviation connector for the new attachment.

The main flat platen (12"x15") is used for T-shirts and other flat items. The bottom platen can be pulled out via a slideway for easier placement of items and direct installation of certain attachments like the cap press.

5.2 Pressure Adjustment

The red lift knob (7) on top of the machine allows you to adjust the pressure. Turn clockwise to increase pressure and counter-clockwise to decrease pressure. Adjust based on the thickness of your material and the type of transfer being applied.

5.3 360° Swing-Away Design

The 360° swing-away design allows the heating element to be safely moved away from the lower platen, providing a clear workspace and reducing the risk of accidental burns. This also helps in evenly distributing heat during the transfer process. Refer to Image 6.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your heat press machine.

  • Cleaning Heating Elements: After the machine has cooled completely, wipe the heating platens with a soft, damp cloth to remove any residue. For stubborn stains, use a non-abrasive cleaner specifically designed for heat press platens.
  • Check Electrical Connections: Periodically inspect all electrical connections, especially the aviation connector, for any signs of wear or looseness.
  • Lubrication: Apply a small amount of high-temperature grease to moving parts, such as the swing arm pivot points, if they become stiff.
  • Storage: Store the machine in a dry, dust-free environment when not in use.
