1. Safety Instructions

1.1 Personal Safety

3. Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble your BOUDECH backpack leaf blower.

3.1 Attaching the Blower Tubes

1. Connect the flexible hose from the blower unit to the main blower tube. Ensure a secure fit.
2. Attach the various sections of the blower tube together. Twist or click into place as designed.
3. Secure the nozzle to the end of the blower tube.

3.2 Attaching the Control Handle

1. Locate the control handle and its mounting bracket.
2. Attach the control handle to the blower tube at a comfortable operating position. Tighten any fasteners securely.

4. Operation

This section details the steps for starting and operating your leaf blower safely and effectively.

4.1 Fueling the Blower

1. Ensure the engine is cool before adding fuel.
2. Prepare the correct 2-stroke fuel mixture (gasoline and 2-stroke oil). Refer to your engine manual for the precise ratio. A common ratio is 25:1 (4% oil).
3. Carefully pour the fuel mixture into the fuel tank, avoiding overfilling.
4. Securely replace the fuel cap.

4.2 Starting Procedure

1. Place the blower on a flat, stable surface.
2. Set the engine switch to the 'ON' (I) position.
3. Engage the choke lever (usually to the 'CLOSED' or 'START' position).
4. Press the primer bulb several times until fuel is visible in the return line.
5. Pull the starter cord firmly and steadily until the engine attempts to start (usually 1-3 pulls).
6. Once the engine 'pops' or attempts to start, disengage the choke lever (to the 'OPEN' or 'RUN' position).
7. Pull the starter cord again until the engine starts and runs smoothly.
8. Allow the engine to warm up for a few moments before applying full throttle.

4.3 Operating the Blower

1. Once the engine is running, put on the backpack harness. Adjust the straps for a comfortable and secure fit. The built-in harness is designed for maximum comfort and safety.
2. Hold the control handle firmly.
3. Press the throttle trigger to increase engine speed and air output. Use the throttle easy lock for continuous operation if desired.
4. Direct the blower nozzle towards the leaves or debris you wish to move. Use a sweeping motion for best results.
5. Avoid blowing debris towards people, animals, or sensitive areas.

4.4 Stopping the Blower

1. Release the throttle trigger to allow the engine to idle.
2. Move the engine switch to the 'OFF' (O) position.
3. Wait for the engine to come to a complete stop before removing the blower.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your leaf blower. Always disconnect the spark plug wire before performing any maintenance.

5.1 Spark Plug Maintenance

Periodically check and clean the spark plug. Replace if worn or fouled.

1. Remove the spark plug cap.
2. Use a spark plug wrench to remove the spark plug.
3. Inspect the electrode for wear and carbon buildup. Clean with a wire brush if necessary.
4. Check the spark plug gap and adjust if needed according to the engine manual specifications.
5. Reinstall the spark plug and cap.

5.2 Air Filter Maintenance

1. Locate and remove the air filter cover.
2. Remove the air filter element.
3. Clean the filter element with warm, soapy water, or compressed air. Allow it to dry completely.
4. Reinstall the clean air filter and cover.

5.3 Fuel Filter Maintenance

The fuel filter is located inside the fuel tank. Check it periodically for debris and replace if clogged.

5.4 General Cleaning and Storage

• Clean the exterior of the blower after each use, removing any debris from cooling fins and air intakes.
• For long-term storage, drain the fuel tank and run the engine until it stops to clear the carburetor of fuel.
