Before First Use (Setup)

- Clean Removable Parts: Wash the glass carafe, filter basket, portafilter, and drip tray in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.

- Prime the Drip Coffee Side: Fill the water reservoir to the MAX line with fresh, cold water. Place the empty carafe on the warming plate. Do not add coffee grounds. Press the 'POWER' button to turn on the machine, then press the 'BREW-OFF' button to start a brew cycle. Allow the full cycle to complete. Discard the water. Repeat this process once more.
- Prime the Espresso Side: Fill the water reservoir to the MAX line. Place a cup under the espresso dispenser. Turn the knob to the 'ESPRESSO' position. Allow water to flow through for about 30 seconds. Turn the knob to 'OFF'. Discard the water.
Operating Instructions
Drip Coffee Operation
- Fill Water Reservoir: Open the lid and fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold water to the desired level, indicated by the cup markings. Do not exceed the MAX line.
- Add Coffee Grounds: Place the reusable gold tone filter into the filter basket. Add the desired amount of ground coffee (approximately 1 scoop per cup, adjust to taste). Close the lid securely.
- Place Carafe: Ensure the glass carafe is properly placed on the warming plate.
- Start Brewing: Press the 'POWER' button to turn on the machine. Press the 'BREW-OFF' button to begin the brewing cycle. The indicator light will illuminate.
- Keep Warm: The machine will automatically keep the coffee warm for a period after brewing. Press 'BREW-OFF' again to turn off the warming plate.
Espresso Operation
- Fill Water Reservoir: Ensure the water reservoir has sufficient fresh, cold water.
- Add Coffee Grounds to Portafilter: Place the desired filter basket (single or double shot) into the portafilter. Add finely ground espresso coffee. Use the tamper on the scoop to gently but firmly tamp the coffee grounds. Wipe any excess grounds from the rim.
- Attach Portafilter: Insert the portafilter into the group head and twist firmly to the right until it is securely locked.
- Preheat: Place espresso cups on the cup warming plate on top of the machine. Turn the control knob to 'STEAM PREHEAT' and allow the machine to heat up until the 'READY' indicator light illuminates.
- Brew Espresso: Place one or two espresso cups under the portafilter spouts. Turn the control knob to 'ESPRESSO'. Espresso will begin to flow. Turn the knob back to 'OFF' once the desired amount of espresso is brewed.
Steaming Milk
- Prepare Milk: Fill a stainless steel frothing pitcher with cold milk (dairy or non-dairy) to about one-third full.
- Preheat Steam Wand: Turn the control knob to 'STEAM PREHEAT'. Wait for the 'READY' indicator light to illuminate. Briefly open the steam valve to release any condensed water, then close it.
- Steam Milk: Immerse the steam wand tip just below the surface of the milk. Turn the control knob to 'STEAM'. Move the pitcher slowly up and down to create foam. Continue until the milk reaches the desired temperature and consistency.
- Clean Steam Wand: Immediately after steaming, turn the control knob to 'OFF'. Wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth to remove any milk residue. Briefly open the steam valve again to clear any internal milk.
Programming Brew Time (Drip Coffee)
The drip coffee side can be programmed to start brewing at a specific time within a 24-hour period.
- Set Current Time: With the machine plugged in, press the 'HOUR' and 'MINUTE' buttons to set the current time. The clock will display 'AM' or 'PM'.
- Set Program Time: Press the 'PROGRAM' button. The display will flash. Use the 'HOUR' and 'MINUTE' buttons to set your desired brew start time.
- Activate Program: Press the 'PROGRAM' button again to confirm the setting. The 'PROGRAM' indicator light will illuminate, indicating the delayed brew function is active.
