6. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter.
6.1. System Not Powering On
- Ensure the power supply unit (PSU) is switched on and properly connected to the wall outlet.
- Verify that the 24-pin ATX power cable and the CPU power cable are securely connected to the motherboard.
- Check that the front panel power switch cable is correctly connected to the motherboard's front panel header. Refer to your motherboard manual for the correct pinout.
6.2. Excessive Fan Noise
- Confirm that all fans are securely mounted and not vibrating against the case.
- Check fan speeds in your motherboard's BIOS/UEFI settings or through fan control software. Adjust fan curves to reduce noise if temperatures allow.
- Ensure the PWM fan repeater is correctly powered via a SATA power cable and connected to a motherboard PWM header. Verify the motherboard header setting is set to PWM, not DC, if applicable.
- Clean any dust buildup on fan blades and dust filters.
6.3. USB Ports Not Functioning
- Verify that the USB 3.0 and USB 3.1 Type-C front panel cables are correctly connected to the corresponding headers on your motherboard.
- Check your motherboard's manual for the correct header locations and ensure the cables are not loose or damaged.
