  5. Place a standard crib mattress (sold separately) into the crib.

Operating Instructions

Adjustable Mattress Height:

The crib features an adjustable mattress support with three positions to accommodate your child's growth and ensure safety. The access rail dimensions are 36 inches from the floor to the top of the rail. The mattress support positions are measured from the top of a 6-inch mattress:

  • Highest Position: 18.75 inches from the top of the rail. Use for infants who cannot push up on their hands and knees.
  • Middle Position: 16.5 inches from the top of the rail. Use when your child begins to push up on their hands and knees.
  • Lowest Position: 12.75 inches from the top of the rail. Use when your child can pull themselves to a standing position.

To adjust the mattress height, remove the mattress and mattress support. Re-position the mattress support to the desired height and secure it firmly with the appropriate hardware. Always ensure the mattress support is level and locked into place.

Maintenance

Care and Cleaning:

  • Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or strong detergents, as they may damage the finish.
  • Regularly check all screws, bolts, and fasteners to ensure they are tight and secure. Re-tighten as needed.
  • Avoid exposing the crib to extreme temperatures or humidity, which can cause warping or cracking of the wood.
  • Store the crib in a dry, temperate environment if disassembled for storage.

Troubleshooting

Common Issues and Solutions:

  • Crib feels wobbly: Ensure all assembly hardware is fully tightened. If the crib is on carpet, uneven flooring can sometimes contribute to slight movement; consider placing it on a firm, level surface. For added stability, wall anchoring kits (sold separately) can be used, especially as the child grows and becomes more active.
  • Difficulty adjusting mattress height: Ensure all mattress support hardware is loosened before attempting to move the support. Verify that the support frame is correctly aligned with the designated slots at the new height before re-tightening.
  • Missing or damaged parts: Do not attempt to use the crib with missing or damaged parts. Contact Delta Children customer support immediately for replacement parts.
