Setup and Initial Use

Connecting to Air Supply:

  1. Ensure your air compressor is capable of providing the required working pressure (90 PSI) and sufficient CFM for continuous operation.
  2. Attach a 3/8" ID hose to the air inlet of the impact wrench.
  3. Connect the hose to your air compressor's output.
  4. Verify all connections are secure to prevent air leaks.

Lubrication (Crucial for Warranty):

It is imperative to oil the tool daily before and after each use. Failure to do so will void the product warranty. Use a high-quality air tool oil. Apply a few drops directly into the air inlet before connecting to the air supply.

Operating Instructions

Attaching Sockets:

Align the square drive of the socket with the square anvil of the impact wrench and push firmly until it locks into place. Ensure the socket is fully seated before operation.

Forward/Reverse and Speed Control:

The tool features a one-handed push-button for easy forward (FWD) and reverse (REV) selection. A 3-speed rear dial regulator allows you to adjust the power output for different applications. Select a lower speed for initial loosening or tightening, and higher speeds for maximum torque.

Applying Torque:

Hold the tool firmly with both hands. Press the trigger to activate the impact mechanism. For tightening, ensure the fastener is started by hand to prevent cross-threading. For loosening, apply steady pressure until the fastener breaks free. Always use a torque wrench for final tightening to specified values.

Maintenance

Daily Maintenance:

  • Lubrication: As mentioned in Setup, oil the tool daily.
  • Cleaning: Wipe down the tool with a clean, dry cloth after each use. The protective rubber jacket helps keep the tool clean.
  • Air Filter: Regularly check and clean the air filter on your compressor to ensure clean air supply to the tool.

Periodic Maintenance:

  • Grease Zerks: The tool features an easy-access grease zerk. Periodically apply grease to ensure smooth operation of internal components.
  • Inspect Air Hoses: Check air hoses for cuts, kinks, or wear. Replace damaged hoses immediately.
  • Fastener Inspection: Ensure all external fasteners on the tool are tight.
