3. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to assemble and install your garden flag:
- Assemble the Pole: Connect the pole sections (Pole A, Pole B, Pole C) by screwing them together. Ensure they are securely tightened. The solar panel unit is typically pre-attached to the top section (Pole A).
- Attach the Flag: Slide the top sleeve of the American flag onto the curved hook of Pole A. Use the provided fixation clips to secure the bottom of the flag to Pole B, preventing it from tangling or blowing away in strong winds.
- Position the Solar Panel: Adjust the solar panel on top of the pole so it faces direct sunlight for optimal charging.
- Install in Ground: Insert the ground stake (anchor) firmly into the soil at your desired location. Then, place the assembled flag pole into the ground stake. Ensure the pole is stable and upright.

5. Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your garden flag.
- Cleaning the Flag: The flag is made of durable polyester fabric. For cleaning, hand wash only with mild soap and cold water. Do not bleach or tumble dry. Allow to air dry completely.
- Cleaning the Solar Panel: Periodically wipe the solar panel surface with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, or debris. A clean panel ensures efficient charging.
- Weather Resistance: The flag and solar unit are designed to be weather-resistant (IP44 rated). While it can withstand rain and outdoor conditions, prolonged exposure to extreme weather may affect its lifespan.

6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Ohuhu Solar Powered LED American Flag, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Lights do not turn on at night. | Insufficient solar charge. | Ensure the solar panel is positioned in direct sunlight for at least 6-8 hours during the day. Clean any dirt or debris from the solar panel surface. |
| Lights are dim or only stay on for a short period. | Partial solar charge or aging battery. | Relocate the flag to an area with more direct sunlight. If the issue persists after prolonged charging, the internal battery may need replacement (contact support if within warranty). |
| Flag appears to be installed incorrectly (e.g., star field on wrong side). | Flag orientation during assembly. | Ensure the flag is oriented correctly with the blue star field positioned on the observer's left when viewed from the front. Re-adjust if necessary. |
| Flag tangles around the pole. | Insufficient fixation or strong winds. | Ensure both top and bottom fixation clips are securely attached to the flag and pole. Consider repositioning in less windy areas if tangling persists. |
