3. Setup

1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all parts are present: main unit, handle, clean water tank, dirty water tank, SpinScrub brushes, and any included accessories (e.g., upholstery tool, crevice tool, cleaning solution).
2. Assemble Handle: Insert the handle into the main unit until it clicks securely into place. Refer to the quick start guide for specific handle assembly instructions if needed.
3. Fill Clean Water Tank: Remove the clean water tank from the unit. Fill the tank with warm tap water up to the "Water Fill Line". Add the recommended amount of Hoover cleaning solution to the "Solution Fill Line". Do not overfill.
4. Replace Tanks: Securely place the clean water tank back onto the unit. Ensure the dirty water tank is empty and properly seated.
5. Prepare Area: Vacuum the carpet thoroughly to remove loose dirt and debris before deep cleaning. Move furniture as necessary.

4. Operating Instructions

1. Plug In: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
2. Pre-Treat (Optional): For heavily soiled areas or stubborn stains, pre-treat with a suitable carpet pre-treatment spray. Allow it to sit for the recommended time before cleaning.
3. Power On: Turn on the machine using the power switch, usually located on the handle or base.
4. Cleaning Passes:
   • Press the trigger to release cleaning solution and make a slow, forward wet pass.
   • Release the trigger and make a slow, backward dry pass over the same area to extract the dirty water.
   • Overlap each cleaning path slightly to ensure thorough coverage.

5. Empty Dirty Water Tank: When the dirty water tank reaches its maximum fill line, or when suction decreases, turn off the machine and empty the tank. Rinse the tank thoroughly before reattaching.
6. Refill Clean Water Tank: If the clean water tank becomes empty, refill it with warm water and solution as described in the Setup section.
7. Drying: After cleaning, allow the carpet to dry completely before walking on it or replacing furniture. The HeatForce technology aids in faster drying.

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your Hoover Power Scrub Deluxe.

• Clean Tanks: After each use, thoroughly rinse both the clean and dirty water tanks with warm water. Allow them to air dry before storing.
• Clean Nozzle: Remove the nozzle cover and rinse any debris from the nozzle. Ensure the suction path is clear.
• Clean Brushes: Remove the SpinScrub brush assembly. Rinse the brushes under running water to remove hair and debris. Reinstall them securely.
• Wipe Down Unit: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a damp cloth.
• Store Properly: Store the carpet cleaner in a dry, indoor area. Do not store with water in the tanks.
