6. Maintenance
- Regular Inspection: Periodically check the tank for any signs of cracks, leaks, or damage. Inspect all connections for tightness.
- Cleanliness: Keep the exterior of the tank clean. Avoid using harsh chemicals that could degrade the plastic.
- Fuel Filter: The fuel cap includes an integrated filter. Regularly inspect and clean or replace this filter to ensure optimal fuel quality and flow.
- Vent Hose: Ensure the vent hose remains free of blockages to allow proper air circulation.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Fuel Leakage | Loose connections, damaged O-rings, tank crack, overfilling. | Tighten all connections, replace damaged O-rings, inspect tank for damage (replace if necessary), do not overfill. |
| Poor Fuel Flow | Clogged fuel filter, kinked fuel line, blocked vent hose. | Clean or replace fuel filter, check and straighten fuel line, clear any obstructions from the vent hose. |
| Cap allows water ingress | Improperly sealed cap, design limitation. | Ensure cap is tightly secured. Consider adding a secondary protective cover if exposed to direct rain/splash. |
