Setup and Installation

1. Physical Installation

The camera can be mounted on a wall or ceiling. Choose a location that provides the desired viewing angle and is within reach of power and video cables.

  1. Mark Drilling Holes: Use the camera's base as a template to mark the positions for drilling holes on the wall or ceiling.
  2. Drill Holes: Drill holes at the marked positions. Insert the provided wall plugs if mounting on masonry.
  3. Secure Camera: Align the camera base with the drilled holes and secure it using the provided screws.
  4. Adjust Angle: Loosen the adjustment screws on the 3-axis mounting bracket to set the desired camera angle. Tighten the screws once the angle is set.

2. Connectivity and Video Output Mode Selection

This camera supports four video output modes: TVI, CVI, AHD, and CVBS. By default, the camera is set to 5MP HD-TVI. Ensure your DVR is compatible with the camera's resolution (5MP or higher) and selected video format.

To change the video output mode, use the toggle switch located on the camera's video cable. Refer to the diagram on the cable itself for specific switch positions corresponding to each mode (HD TVI, AHD, Analog/CVBS, HD CVI).

  • Connect the camera's video output (BNC connector) to your DVR's video input.
  • Connect a 12V DC power adapter (not included) to the camera's power input.

Operation

Day and Night Vision

The camera automatically switches between day (color) and night (black & white infrared) modes based on ambient light conditions. The 18 infrared LEDs provide clear visibility in low-light or no-light environments up to 100 feet.

Motion Detection

When connected to a compatible DVR system, the camera can be configured for motion detection. This feature allows the DVR to record only when motion is detected, saving storage space and making event review more efficient.
