Your Guide to Smart Home Lighting

1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing Vanance Smart Light Bulbs. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient use of your new smart lighting system. Please read it thoroughly before installation and operation.

2. Important Safety Information

To ensure safe operation, please observe the following warnings:

  • Risk of Electric Shock: Always turn off power to the fixture before installing or removing the bulb.
  • Not suitable for damp locations or totally enclosed luminaires.
  • Not intended for use with emergency exit fixtures or emergency exit lights.
  • Do not use with electronic timers, photocells, or external dimmers. These bulbs are dimmable via the app or remote only.
  • Ensure the bulb is installed in a fixture that supports an E26 base and 100-120V AC, 60Hz power supply.

3. Setup Guide

3.1 Physical Installation

  1. Ensure the power to the light fixture is turned OFF at the switch before installation.
  2. Carefully screw the Vanance Smart Light Bulb into a standard E26 light socket.
  3. Turn the power ON at the switch. The bulb should light up.

3.2 App Download & Account Registration

  1. Download the "Magic Home Pro" app from the iOS App Store or Google Play Store.
  2. Open the app and register for a new account or log in with an existing one.

3.3 Connecting to Wi-Fi & Bluetooth

Your Vanance Smart Light Bulbs support both Wi-Fi (2.4GHz only) and Bluetooth 5.0 for seamless connectivity without a separate hub.

  1. Ensure your mobile device's Wi-Fi (2.4GHz band) and Bluetooth are enabled.
  2. To enter pairing mode, turn the light bulb ON, then OFF, ON, OFF, ON, OFF, ON (4 times total). The bulb will flash blue to indicate it's in pairing mode.
  3. In the "Magic Home Pro" app, tap the "+" icon in the top right corner to add a new device.
  4. The app will discover the bulb(s). Select the bulb(s) you wish to add.
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts to connect the bulb to your local 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Enter your Wi-Fi password when requested.
  6. Once connected, you can name your bulb(s) for easy identification.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 App Control

The "Magic Home Pro" app offers comprehensive control over your smart light bulbs:

  • Color Selection: Choose from 16 million colors using the color wheel.
  • Tunable White: Adjust white light from warm (2700K) to cool (6500K) to suit your preference.
  • Dimming: Steplessly adjust brightness from 1% to 100%.
  • Dynamic Patterns/Scenes: Select from pre-set scenes (e.g., Party, Relax) or create custom lighting effects.
  • Scheduling & Timers: Set schedules for automatic ON/OFF times, including sunrise and sunset simulations.
  • Group Control: Group multiple bulbs together to control them simultaneously.

4.2 Voice Control

Integrate your Vanance Smart Light Bulbs with popular voice assistants for hands-free control:

  • Amazon Alexa: Link your "Magic Home Pro" account in the Alexa app. Use commands like "Alexa, turn on the living room light" or "Alexa, change bedroom light to blue."
  • Google Assistant: Link your "Magic Home Pro" account in the Google Home app. Use commands like "Hey Google, dim the lights to 50%" or "Hey Google, set kitchen light to warm white."
  • Siri: Use Siri Shortcuts to create custom voice commands for specific actions.

4.3 Remote Control

The included remote control provides convenient access to basic functions without needing your smartphone:

  • Power ON/OFF
  • Adjust Brightness
  • Change Colors (Red, Green, Blue, White, etc.)
  • Select pre-set modes

5. Maintenance

To maintain the performance and appearance of your smart light bulbs:

  • Ensure the power is off before cleaning.
  • Wipe the bulb with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive chemicals, as these may damage the bulb's finish or internal components.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Bulb Not Pairing

  • Ensure your Wi-Fi router is operating on the 2.4GHz band.
  • Perform a power cycle reset: Turn the bulb ON/OFF 4 times until it flashes blue, then attempt pairing again.
  • Ensure your mobile device's Bluetooth is enabled.
  • Move closer to the bulb and Wi-Fi router during the pairing process.

6.2 Connectivity Issues (Bulb Offline)

  • Check your Wi-Fi router's status to ensure it is working correctly.
  • Verify the bulb is within range of your Wi-Fi network.
  • If there was a power outage, the bulb might need to be reconnected. Follow the pairing steps (Section 3.3).
  • Restart your Wi-Fi router and then restart the bulb.

6.3 Remote Control Not Responding

  • Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the bulb.
  • The remote control typically uses a button cell battery. If the remote is unresponsive, consider replacing its battery.
