6. Maintenance and Cleaning
The B-Tek AquaShield Max is designed for easy cleaning and maintenance, especially in washdown environments.
6.1 Cleaning Procedures
- Daily Cleaning: For general cleaning, use a soft cloth dampened with water and a mild, non-abrasive detergent. Wipe down all stainless steel surfaces, including the platform, column, and indicator housing.
- Washdown: The scale's IP69K rating allows for high-pressure, high-temperature washdown. Ensure all cable connections are secure before washing. Use a pressure washer if necessary, directing spray away from direct impact on the display window.
- Aqueduct Drainage System (ADS): The scale incorporates an ADS with specialized drainage holes and a formed channel to prevent water and material accumulation. After washing, ensure these drainage paths are clear and unobstructed.
- Drying: Allow the scale to air dry or wipe it down with a clean, dry cloth after washing to prevent water spots.
6.2 General Maintenance
- Regularly inspect the power cord for any signs of damage.
- Check the adjustable feet for wear and ensure they are properly leveled.
- Periodically verify the scale's accuracy using certified test weights.
