4. Setup

4.1 Unpacking

4.2 Assembly

1. Attach the 19" stainless steel column to the base of the scale. Ensure it is securely fastened.
2. Mount the T403 indicator to the top of the column. Connect the load cell cable from the platform to the indicator's designated port.
3. Place the stainless steel weighing platter onto the scale base.

4.3 Placement and Leveling

4.4 Power Connection

Connect the power adapter to the T403 indicator and then plug it into a suitable electrical outlet. The indicator will perform a self-test upon power-up.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Weighing

1. Power On: Press the ON/OFF key to turn on the indicator.
2. Zeroing: If the display does not show zero with nothing on the platform, press the ZERO key.
3. Weighing: Place the item to be weighed on the center of the platform. The display will show the weight.

5.2 Tare Function

The Tare function allows you to subtract the weight of a container, so only the net weight of the contents is displayed.

1. Place the empty container on the platform.
2. Press the TARE key. The display will return to zero, and a "NET" or "TARE" indicator may appear.
3. Add the material to be weighed into the container. The display will show only the weight of the material.
4. Remove the container to clear the tare.
