Setup

1. Power Connection

1. Insert the DC plug of the power adapter into the "DC 6.5V Power" input on the back of the MB420K.

2. Antenna Setup

Extend the telescopic antenna fully for best radio reception, especially for FM and DAB signals.

3. Initial Power On and Time Setting

Upon first power-on, the radio may automatically scan for DAB stations and set the time. If not, you can manually set the time and date via the menu.

Operating Instructions

1. Radio Modes (DAB/DAB+/FM)

Press the Source button to cycle through DAB, DAB+, and FM radio modes.

Scanning for Stations:

• In DAB mode, press Scan/Pair to perform a full scan for available DAB stations.
• In FM mode, press Scan/Pair to auto-scan and save stations.

Saving Presets:

1. Tune to your desired station.
2. Press and hold the Memory button until "Preset Store" appears.
3. Use the Navigate dial or Preset buttons to select a preset number (1-30).
4. Press Select to confirm.

Recalling Presets:

• Press the Memory button (short press) to enter preset recall mode.
• Use the Navigate dial or Preset buttons to select the desired preset.
• Press Select to tune to the station.

2. Bluetooth Speaker Mode

Connect your smartphone, tablet, or computer wirelessly to the MB420K.

1. Press the Source button to select "Bluetooth" mode. The display will show "Bluetooth Pairing" or "Bluetooth Connected".
2. On your Bluetooth device, enable Bluetooth and search for "MB420K".
3. Select "MB420K" to pair. Once connected, you can play audio from your device through the speaker.

3. USB Playback

Play MP3 music files directly from a USB flash drive.

1. Insert a USB flash drive containing MP3 files into the USB port on the back of the MB420K.
2. Press the Source button to select "USB" mode.
3. The radio will automatically start playing the first compatible audio file. Use the Tuning buttons to skip tracks.

4. AUX Input

Connect external audio devices using a 3.5mm audio cable.

1. Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable to the "3.5mm Aux In" port on the back of the MB420K.
2. Connect the other end to the headphone jack or audio output of your external device (e.g., MP3 player, phone).
3. Press the Source button to select "AUX" mode.
4. Control playback from your external device.

5. Dual Alarm Clock Function

Set up to two independent alarms to wake you up.

1. Press the Info/Menu button, then use the Navigate dial to select "Alarm". Press Select.
2. Choose "Alarm 1" or "Alarm 2" and press Select.
3. Follow the on-screen prompts to set the alarm time, duration, source (Buzzer, DAB, FM, USB), frequency (Daily, Once, Weekdays, Weekends), and volume.
4. Press Select to confirm each setting.

Snooze Function:

When an alarm sounds, press any button (except Power) to activate snooze. The alarm will sound again after a set interval.

6. Sleep Timer

Set the radio to automatically turn off after a specified period.

1. Press the Info/Menu button, then use the Navigate dial to select "Sleep". Press Select.
2. Use the Navigate dial to select the desired sleep timer duration (e.g., 15, 30, 45, 60, 90 minutes).
3. Press Select to confirm. The radio will turn off after the selected time.

7. Display Settings (Backlight)

Adjust the backlight brightness of the LCD display.

1. Press the Info/Menu button, then use the Navigate dial to select "System Settings". Press Select.
2. Select "Backlight" and press Select.
3. Choose your desired brightness level (e.g., High, Medium, Low) and press Select.
