4. Setup Instructions

4.1 Charging the Camera

Before first use, fully charge the camera. Connect the USB charging cable to the camera's charging port and a standard USB power adapter (not included). The indicator light will show charging status and turn off when fully charged. The built-in 800mAh battery provides approximately 4 hours of operation on a full charge. The camera supports recording while charging.

4.2 Inserting a Micro SD Card

Insert a Micro SD card (Class 10 or higher, up to 128GB, not included) into the TF Card Slot with the gold contacts facing down. Ensure it clicks into place. The camera supports loop recording, overwriting the oldest files when the card is full.

4.3 App Download and Wi-Fi Connection

To access live viewing and advanced features, download the companion app (FOWL) from your smartphone's app store (supports Android and iOS).

  1. Download and register an account on the FOWL app.
  2. Turn on the camera using the slide switch.
  3. Connect your smartphone to the camera's Wi-Fi hotspot (AP Mode). The camera will broadcast its own Wi-Fi signal.
  4. Once connected in AP Mode, you can view real-time recordings.
  5. For remote viewing (Remote Mode), connect the camera to your home's 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network through the app settings. 5GHz networks are not supported.

4.4 Mounting the Camera

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Video Recording

The camera records video in Ultra HD 4K (3840x2160P) resolution. You can initiate recording via the mobile app. The camera also supports 720p resolution.

5.2 Motion Detection

Enable motion detection through the app. When motion is detected, the camera will automatically send an alert message to your smartphone and save the corresponding video to the Micro SD card or cloud storage (if configured).

5.3 Night Vision

5.4 Loop Recording

With loop recording enabled, the camera will continuously record. When the Micro SD card is full, the oldest video files will be automatically overwritten to make space for new recordings.

Once the camera is connected to your home's 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network, you can access live video feeds and recorded footage from anywhere using the FOWL app on your smartphone.
