1. Important Safety Information

  • Ventilation: Ensure adequate air circulation around the unit. Do not block ventilation openings.

  • Cleaning: Always unplug the unit before cleaning. Follow the cleaning instructions carefully to prevent damage.

3. Setup and First Use

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove the ice maker from its packaging. Remove all packing materials, tape, and any protective film.
  2. Placement: Place the unit on a stable, level surface away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for proper ventilation.
  3. Settle Compressor: After placing the unit, allow it to stand upright for at least 2 hours before plugging it into a power outlet. This is crucial for the compressor's internal fluids to settle.
  4. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, clean the interior of the ice maker.
    • Open the lid and remove the ice basket.
    • Clean the interior with a soft cloth and warm water with a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly.
    • Drain any remaining water through the drain plug at the bottom.
    • Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth.
  5. Add Water: Open the lid and pour potable water into the water reservoir, ensuring the water level is below the MAX mark.

4. Operation

Operating the SPECILITE Countertop Ice Maker is straightforward with its one-button start and intelligent sensor system.

  1. Power On: Press the "ON/OFF" button on the control panel to start the ice-making process. The "POWER" indicator light will illuminate.

  3. Select Ice Size: If your model supports multiple ice sizes (Small/Large), press the "SELECT" button to toggle between the available sizes. The corresponding indicator light will show your selection.

  5. Ice Production: The machine will begin producing ice cubes. Each cycle takes approximately 6-8 minutes to produce 9 ice cubes.

  7. Indicators:
    • "ICE FULL" Indicator: The infrared sensor will detect when the ice basket is full, and the "ICE FULL" indicator light will illuminate. The machine will automatically pause ice production until ice is removed.
    • "ADD WATER" Indicator: If the water level in the reservoir is too low, the "ADD WATER" indicator light will illuminate. Add more water to resume ice production.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your ice maker.

5.1 Self-Cleaning Function

Your ice maker features a convenient self-cleaning function.

  1. Ensure the ice basket is empty.
  2. Fill the water reservoir with clean water up to the MAX mark.
  3. Press and hold the "CLEAN" button (or "ON/OFF" button for 5 seconds, depending on model) for approximately 5 seconds to activate the self-cleaning cycle.
  4. The unit will run a cleaning cycle, circulating water through its internal components.
  5. Once the cycle is complete, drain the water from the unit using the drain plug at the bottom.

For enhanced cleaning, you may add a small amount of baking soda or lemon juice to the water during the self-cleaning cycle.

5.2 Regular Cleaning

  • Daily: Empty the ice basket and wipe it clean.
  • Weekly/Bi-weekly:
    • Unplug the unit.
    • Drain all water from the reservoir using the drain plug.

    • Clean the interior surfaces, including the water reservoir and ice-making components, with a soft cloth and a solution of water and white vinegar (1:1 ratio) or mild detergent.

    • Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth.
  • Storage: If storing the unit for an extended period, ensure it is completely dry inside and out to prevent mold or mildew growth. Store in a cool, dry place.

6. Troubleshooting
