Introduction
This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your La Crosse Technology 308-1415FCT Wireless Forecast Station. This device is designed to monitor indoor and outdoor environmental conditions, including temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure tendencies for weather forecasting. Please read this manual thoroughly to ensure proper use and to maximize the functionality of your forecast station.

Setup
1. Battery Installation
- Main Unit: Open the battery compartment on the back of the display unit. Insert 2 new AA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment.
- Outdoor Sensor: Open the battery compartment on the back of the outdoor sensor. Insert 2 new AA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment.
It is recommended to insert batteries into the main unit first, then the outdoor sensor.

2. Sensor Placement
- Place the outdoor sensor in a shaded area, away from direct sunlight and heat sources, to ensure accurate temperature readings.
- Ensure the sensor is protected from direct rain and snow.
- The maximum transmission range between the main unit and the sensor is approximately 330 feet (100 meters) in open air. Walls, metal objects, and electronic devices can reduce this range.

3. Initial Sync
Once batteries are installed in both units, the main unit will automatically search for the outdoor sensor. This may take a few minutes. A signal strength indicator will appear on the display when a connection is established.
Operating Instructions
Display Overview

- Time/Date: Displays current time, month, date, and day of the week.
- Forecast: Icons indicate predicted weather conditions (e.g., sunny, cloudy, rainy).
- Tendency: Arrows indicate rising or falling barometric pressure.
- Outdoor: Shows current outdoor temperature and humidity, along with signal strength.
- Indoor: Shows current indoor temperature and humidity, with a comfort level indicator.
Button Functions
The main unit features several buttons for configuration and data access:
- SET Button: Hold for 3 seconds to enter settings menu. Press to confirm selections.
- + Button: Press to increase values during settings. Hold for 3 seconds to search for the outdoor sensor.
- HISTORY Button: Press to view MIN/MAX records. Hold for 3 seconds to delete a record.
- - Button: Press to decrease values during settings.
- ALERT Button: Press to release to activate/deactivate alerts. Hold for 3 seconds to enter alert settings.
Setting Time and Date
- Hold the SET button for 3 seconds to enter the settings menu. The hour will flash.
- Use the + or - buttons to adjust the hour. Press SET to confirm and move to minutes.
- Repeat for minutes, year, month, and date.
- Continue pressing SET to cycle through 12/24 hour format, temperature units (°F/°C), and language options (English, Spanish, French).
- Press SET one last time to exit settings.
Viewing MIN/MAX Records
Press the HISTORY button to cycle through the minimum and maximum recorded indoor/outdoor temperatures and humidity levels. Each record will display with a time stamp. Hold the HISTORY button for 3 seconds to clear all recorded data.
Setting Alerts
The forecast station allows you to set customizable alerts for temperature and humidity. Hold the ALERT button for 3 seconds to enter alert settings and follow the on-screen prompts to set your desired high and low alert thresholds.
Maintenance
Battery Replacement
Replace batteries in both the main unit and the outdoor sensor when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Always replace with fresh, high-quality AA alkaline batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries or different types of batteries.
Cleaning
Wipe the display and sensor with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the plastic components or the LCD screen.
