3. Setup

Follow these steps to safely set up your heater.

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the heater and all components from the packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage. Do not operate if damaged.
2. Placement: Place the heater on a firm, level, non-combustible surface. Ensure minimum clearances from combustible materials:
   • Front: 10 feet (305 cm)
   • Sides: 2 feet (61 cm)
   • Top: 3 feet (91 cm)
   • Rear: 2 feet (61 cm)
3. Propane Tank Connection:
   1. Ensure the LP tank valve is closed.
   2. Connect the regulator hose to the LP tank valve. Hand-tighten firmly.
   3. Connect the other end of the hose to the heater's gas inlet. Tighten securely with a wrench.
   4. Open the LP tank valve slowly and check all connections for leaks using a soap and water solution. Bubbles indicate a leak. If a leak is detected, close the tank valve immediately and tighten connections. Do not operate the heater with a leak.
   5. Use a minimum 100 lb (45 kg) LP cylinder.
4. Electrical Connection: Plug the heater's power cord into a grounded 120V AC, 60 Hz outlet.

4. Operating Instructions

Before operating, ensure all safety precautions and setup steps have been followed.

1. Starting the Heater:
   1. Ensure the LP tank valve is fully open.
   2. Turn the heater's power switch to the 'ON' position. The fan will start, and the direct spark ignition system will attempt to light the burner.
   3. The heater should ignite within a few seconds. If it does not ignite, the flame-out sensor may shut off the gas supply. Wait 5 minutes before attempting to restart.
2. Adjusting Heat Output: Use the unit-mounted thermostat to set the desired temperature. The heater will cycle on and off to maintain the set temperature.
3. Shutting Down the Heater:
   1. Close the LP tank valve completely.
   2. Allow the heater to run until all residual gas in the hose is consumed and the flame extinguishes (approximately 1-2 minutes).
   3. Turn the heater's power switch to the 'OFF' position.
   4. Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet.

Regular maintenance ensures safe and efficient operation.

• Cleaning: Keep the heater clean and free from dust and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Air Inlet/Outlet: Ensure the air intake and exhaust grilles are clear of obstructions.
• Hose and Regulator: Inspect the propane hose and regulator for cuts, cracks, or damage before each use. Replace if damaged.
