Setup

1. Unboxing and Placement

Carefully remove the television from its packaging. It is recommended to have two people for safe handling. Place the TV on a stable, flat surface or prepare for wall mounting (wall mount sold separately).

2. Attaching the TV Stand

  1. Place the TV screen-down on a soft, clean surface to prevent scratches.
  2. Align each stand piece with the corresponding slots on the bottom of the TV.
  3. Secure the stands using the provided screws. Ensure they are firmly attached.

3. Connecting External Devices

Your VIZIO TV offers various input ports for connecting external devices. Refer to the diagram below for port locations.

  • HDMI: Connect Blu-ray players, game consoles, cable/satellite boxes. HDMI 1 supports eARC for enhanced audio return channel functionality.
  • USB: For media playback from USB storage devices.
  • Ethernet: For a wired internet connection.
  • Antenna: Connect an antenna for over-the-air broadcasts.
  • Composite Input: For older devices using RCA cables (yellow for video, red/white for audio).
  • Audio Out (Optical/RCA): For connecting to external audio systems or soundbars.

4. Power Connection

Connect the power cable to the TV's power input and then to a wall outlet. The TV will automatically power on or enter standby mode.

5. Initial Setup

Upon first power-on, the TV will guide you through the initial setup process, including language selection, network connection (Wi-Fi or Ethernet), and channel scanning (if an antenna is connected). Follow the on-screen prompts.

Operating Your VIZIO Smart TV

Maintenance

1. Cleaning the TV

  • Always unplug the TV before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the screen. For stubborn marks, lightly dampen the cloth with water or a specialized screen cleaner. Do not spray liquid directly onto the screen.
  • Wipe the TV frame and stand with a dry, soft cloth.
  • Avoid using abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they can damage the finish.

2. General Care

  • Keep the TV away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation around the TV to prevent overheating.
  • Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched.

Troubleshooting
