Charging the Appliance

The clipper is equipped with Lithium-ion batteries. For optimal performance, ensure the unit is fully charged before its first use.

1. Connect the USB cable to the charging adaptor (CA92) and plug it into a suitable power outlet.
2. Place the clipper onto the charging stand, ensuring it is securely seated.
3. The blue LED charging indicator on the clipper will flash while charging.
4. For first use, charge the unit for 3 hours to achieve full super-charge performance. A full charge provides approximately 3 hours of cordless use.
5. When fully charged, the blue LED charging indicator will remain solid.
6. When the clipper is running low on charge, the LED indicator will flash rapidly, indicating approximately 15 minutes of battery use left.
7. For rapid charging, a 20-minute charge provides approximately 20 minutes of use.
8. The clipper can be used corded if the battery is completely flat.

Note:

• The clipper will not switch on whilst charging.
• To help maintain the optimum capacity of the rechargeable batteries, fully discharge the trimmer and then recharge it for 3 hours every 6 months.

Operating Instructions

General Use

• Always inspect the appliance before use to ensure the clipper blades are free from hair, debris, etc.
• Use on clean, dry hair that has been combed until tangle-free.

Attaching and Removing Comb Guides

• To attach a comb guide, ensure the appliance is switched off. Hold the comb guide with the teeth facing upwards and slide it over the blade. Push and click the rear of the comb guide into position.
• To remove a comb guide, switch the appliance off. Push the tab on the rear of the comb guide away from the head and lift off.

Clipping Techniques

Your clipper is supplied with 10 standard comb guides (1.5mm - 25mm) and left and right ear taper guides.

1. All Over Even Cut:
   • Attach the desired comb guide.
   • Switch the clipper to the 'I-ON' position.
   • Starting at the nape of the neck, hold the clipper with the comb guide flat against the head. Slowly move the clipper upwards and outwards through the hair.
   • Move the clipper in different directions to ensure all hair is cut evenly.
   • Once the desired length is achieved at the back, move to the sides and top.
   • For the top, hold the clipper with the teeth pointing towards the back of your head. Move the clipper upwards and outwards in rows from the front and sides of your head to the back.
2. Shorter Back and Sides with Length on Top:
   • Attach a longer comb guide for the top section of your hair.
   • Switch the clipper to the 'I-ON' position.
   • Hold the clipper to the front of your hair with the teeth pointing towards the back of your head. Move the clipper upwards and outwards in rows from the front and sides of your head to the back.
   • Once the desired length for the top is achieved, switch off the appliance and attach a shorter comb guide for the sides and back.
   • Starting at the nape of the neck, with the comb guide flat against the head, move the clipper upwards and outwards through the hair, blending as you go.
   • Repeat on the sides of the head, starting with the teeth of the clipper pointing towards the back of your head. For the top area above the ear, again moving the clipper upwards and outwards.
3. Outlining:
   • To neaten up the edges around your cut (e.g., neckline and sideburns), detach the comb guides.
   • Hold the clipper upside down with the front of the clipper facing towards your head.
   • Start at the neckline or sideburns and move the clipper downwards. This will give you a clean, smooth finish.

Taper Control

The taper control lever allows for fine cut adjustment, providing more precise clipping and fading capabilities.

• The blade cutting length without a comb guide is 0.8mm (Position 1).
• Pushing the lever up decreases the length of the cut.
• Each position will increase the length as follows:
• Position 1: 0.8mm
• Position 2: 0.8mm + 0.2mm = 1.0mm
• Position 3: 0.8mm + 0.4mm = 1.2mm
• Position 4: 0.8mm + 0.5mm = 1.3mm
• Position 5: 0.8mm + 0.6mm = 1.4mm

Comb Guides and Ear Taper Guides
