1.1 Unpacking and Placement
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Place the self-empty base in a suitable location, ensuring it is:
- At least 5 cm (2 inches) away from any wall.
- With at least 1.2 meters (4 feet) of clear space directly in front of it.
- With at least 0.5 meters (1.6 feet) of clear space on both sides.
This ensures optimal navigation and return-to-base functionality.

1.2 Initial Charging
Connect the self-empty base to a power outlet. Place the Lydsto R1 robot onto the charging contacts of the base. Ensure the robot is properly aligned. Allow the robot to fully charge before its first use. A full charge typically takes several hours.
1.3 App Connection
For enhanced control and smart features, download the MiHome app on your smartphone. Follow the in-app instructions to connect your Lydsto R1 robot. This will allow you to control the robot remotely, set cleaning schedules, and view cleaning maps.

2. Operating Instructions
The Lydsto R1 offers both manual and app-controlled operation for convenient cleaning.
2.1 Powering On/Off and Starting Cleaning
- To power on the robot, press and hold the power button on the robot for 3 seconds.
- To start a cleaning cycle, briefly press the power button once the robot is powered on.
- To pause cleaning, briefly press the power button during operation.
- To send the robot back to its charging base, press the home button on the robot or use the app.
2.2 Smart Navigation and Cleaning
The Lydsto R1 utilizes LDS Lidar Navigation and SLAM Intelligent Algorithm for efficient path planning and comprehensive cleaning. It is equipped with an LDS2.0 high-precision radar laser sensor to avoid obstacles and prevent falls.
The robot features a powerful 2700Pa suction for effective dust and debris collection, including pet hair. It also includes a carpet recognition function, automatically adjusting suction power when transitioning to carpeted surfaces.

2.3 Mopping Function
The Lydsto R1 includes a mopping module with a 250ml electric control water tank. To use the mopping function:
- Disassemble the mopping accessory from the robot.
- Soak the mop bracket and wring it out.
- Embed and stick the mop pad back onto the bracket.
- Open the lid of the water tank, fill it with water, and close the lid securely.
- Assemble the mopping accessory to the rear of the robot.
The app allows you to select from three water output options (small, medium, large) to suit different floor types and cleaning needs. Remember to remove the mopping accessory while the robot is charging or idle to prevent damage to the floor or the robot.

3. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Lydsto R1 robot vacuum cleaner.
3.1 Dust Container and Filter Cleaning
The dust container and filter should be cleaned regularly to maintain suction efficiency.
- Open the dust container.
- Take out the filter and clean its surface with the provided brush.
- Wash the dust container with water.
- Allow the dust container and filter to dry completely before reassembling them back into the robot.
3.2 Mop Pad Cleaning
After each mopping session, remove the mop pad from the mopping accessory and wash it thoroughly. Allow it to air dry completely before reattaching or storing.
3.3 Self-Empty Base Garbage Bag Replacement
The self-empty base will indicate when the garbage bag needs replacement, typically when its indicator shows orange.
- Open the lid of the self-empty base.
- Carefully take out the full garbage bag.
- Replace it with a new, empty garbage bag.
- Close the lid securely.
4. Troubleshooting

- Robot not charging: Ensure the charging base is plugged in and the robot is properly aligned on the charging contacts. Check for any obstructions preventing proper contact.

- Poor cleaning performance: Clean the dust container and filter. Check if the main brush and side brushes are clean and free of tangles. Ensure the water tank is filled for mopping.
- App connectivity issues: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is stable and the robot is within range. Restart the robot and your router if necessary.
- Unusual noises: Check for any foreign objects caught in the brushes or wheels. Clean the dustbin and filter.
