2. General Safety Warnings

6. Setup & Installation

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Verify that all items listed in the Package Contents section are present.
  2. Power Connection: Connect the provided power cable to the AC Power Input on the rear panel of the DC310S and then to a suitable AC power outlet.
  3. Initial Power On: Flip the Power Switch on the rear panel to the 'ON' position. The device's LCD screen will light up.
  4. Language Selection: Upon first use, you may be prompted to select a language. Use the navigation buttons and knob to select 'EN' for English and confirm.
  5. Output Connections: Connect your load to the Channel Output Terminals using the banana plug to alligator clip cable. Ensure correct polarity: Red (+) to positive, Black (-) to negative, Green to ground.

7. Operating Instructions

7.1 Basic Voltage and Current Adjustment

  1. Set Voltage: Press the 'V' button. Rotate the Voltage/Current Adjust Knob to set the desired output voltage. Press the knob to confirm or move between digits for fine-tuning.
  2. Set Current: Press the 'I' button. Rotate the Voltage/Current Adjust Knob to set the desired output current limit. Press the knob to confirm.
  3. Enable Output: Once voltage and current limits are set, press the 'On/Off' key to enable power output to your connected load. The display will show actual output values.
  4. Disable Output: Press the 'On/Off' key again to disable power output.

7.2 Protection Settings (OVP/OCP)

  1. Set Overvoltage Protection (OVP): Press the 'OVP' button. Use the knob to set the maximum allowable output voltage. If the output exceeds this value, the power supply will shut down to protect the load.
  2. Set Overcurrent Protection (OCP): Press the 'OCP' button. Use the knob to set the maximum allowable output current. If the current exceeds this value, the power supply will shut down.

7.3 Memory Functions

The DC310S allows you to save and quickly recall up to 4 sets of frequently used voltage and current parameters.

  1. Save Parameters: Set the desired voltage and current. Long-press the 'Memory' button. Use the knob to select a memory slot (M1-M4) and press the knob to save.
  2. Recall Parameters: Short-press the 'Memory' button. Use the knob to select a saved memory slot (M1-M4) and press the knob to load the parameters.

7.4 PC Software Control

The DC310S can be controlled and monitored via PC software. The software and drivers can be found on the manufacturer's website or the included CD.

  1. Connect to PC: Use a USB-C to USB-A cable to connect the rear Device USB Port of the power supply to your computer.
  2. Install Software: Install the provided PC software and drivers.
  3. Launch Software: Open the software on your PC. Select the correct COM port and establish a connection.
  4. Remote Control: You can now adjust voltage, current, set protection limits, and monitor real-time data from your computer.

7.5 USB Charging Port

The front 5V 1A USB port can be used to charge compatible mobile phones and other USB-powered devices.

8.2 Output Stability (Transient & Ripple)

9. Maintenance & Care

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the power supply. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the cooling fan and vents are free from dust and obstructions to maintain proper airflow.
  • Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Fuse Replacement: If the device fails to power on, check the fuse located in the fuse box on the rear panel. Replace with a fuse of the same type and rating (5x20mm T5/T8A).
