Chainsaw Specific Safety:

• Always hold the chainsaw firmly with both hands when operating.
• Be aware of kickback. Kickback may occur when the nose or tip of the guide bar touches an object, or when the wood closes in and pinches the saw chain in the cut.
• Do not operate the chainsaw with one hand unless specifically designed for it and you are trained to do so. This model is designed for one-handed use due to its lightweight nature, but caution is still paramount.
• Ensure the chain is properly tensioned and lubricated before each use.
• Never cut above shoulder height.

Setup

1. Battery Charging:

Before first use, fully charge both lithium batteries.

1. Connect the USA Power Adapter/Charger to a standard electrical outlet.
2. Insert a battery into the charger. Ensure it clicks into place.
3. The indicator light on the charger will show the charging status (e.g., red for charging, green for fully charged).
4. Charging time is approximately 2-3 hours per battery.
5. Once fully charged, disconnect the battery from the charger.

2. Chain and Guide Plate Installation:

If the chain and guide plate are not pre-installed, follow these steps:

1. Ensure the battery is removed from the chainsaw.
2. Using the provided screwdriver, loosen the screws on the side cover of the chainsaw and remove the cover.
3. Place the chain around the guide plate, ensuring the cutting teeth are facing the correct direction (refer to the arrow on the guide plate or chainsaw body).
4. Align the chain with the sprocket on the chainsaw body and fit the guide plate into its slot.
5. Replace the side cover and tighten the screws, but not completely.
6. Adjust the chain tension using the tensioning screw (usually located near the guide bar). The chain should be snug but still able to be pulled around the guide bar by hand. It should not sag from the bottom of the guide bar.
7. Once tension is correct, fully tighten the side cover screws.

3. Lubrication:

The chainsaw does not have an automatic oiling system. It is crucial to manually lubricate the chain and guide bar before each use and periodically during operation, especially during extended cutting sessions.

• Fill the provided chain oil bottle with appropriate chainsaw bar and chain oil (not included).
• Apply a small amount of oil along the guide bar groove and directly onto the chain.
• Run the chainsaw briefly to distribute the oil.

Operating Instructions

1. Starting the Chainsaw:

1. Ensure the battery is securely inserted into the chainsaw.
2. Press and hold the safety lock button (located on the handle).
3. While holding the safety lock, press the trigger switch to start the chainsaw. Release the safety lock button once the chainsaw is running.
4. To stop the chainsaw, release the trigger switch.

2. Ergonomic Design and One-Handed Use:

3. Cutting Techniques:

Always maintain a firm grip with one hand on the handle. Position yourself securely and ensure no obstacles are in your cutting path.

• Pruning Branches: For smaller branches, position the chainsaw firmly against the branch and apply steady, even pressure. Avoid twisting the saw.
• Wood Cutting: For larger pieces of wood (up to 6 inches in diameter), make sure the wood is stable. Begin the cut with the bottom of the guide bar, allowing the chain to pull itself into the wood. Do not force the saw.
• Avoid Kickback: Be mindful of the guide bar tip. Contact with the tip can cause sudden upward and backward movement of the chainsaw. Always cut with the bottom or top of the guide bar, avoiding the tip.
• Anti-Splash Baffle: The integrated baffle helps reduce wood chip splatter. Always ensure it is in place during operation.

Maintenance
