1. Introduction

This instruction manual provides essential information for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your RCECAOSHAN replacement infrared remote control. This remote is specifically designed to be compatible with Twin Star ClassicFlame and Duraflame fireplace stove heaters, models T-B6 and 2311300GRA. It is not a universal remote control.

2. Product Overview

3. Setup: Battery Installation

The remote control requires two (2) AAA 1.5V batteries (not included) for operation.

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control.
  2. Slide the battery compartment cover downwards to open it.
  3. Insert two AAA 1.5V batteries, ensuring the correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Slide the battery compartment cover back into place until it clicks securely.

Note: The remote control is ready for use immediately after battery installation; no programming is required.

4. Operating Instructions

Point the remote control directly at the infrared receiver on your fireplace stove heater. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the heater.

  • Storage: If the remote will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and potential damage. Store in a cool, dry place.

  • Remote not responding:
    • Ensure the remote is pointed directly at the fireplace heater's infrared receiver.
    • Check if there are any obstructions between the remote and the heater.
    • Replace the batteries with fresh AAA 1.5V batteries.
    • Verify that the fireplace heater itself is powered on and functioning correctly.
  • Short operating range:
    • Replace the batteries.
    • Ensure no strong light sources (e.g., direct sunlight, fluorescent lights) are interfering with the infrared signal.
