4. Setup

4.1 Assembling the Tripod

  1. Unfold the tripod legs and extend them to the desired height.
  2. Secure the leg extensions using the locking clamps.
  3. Ensure the tripod is stable on a firm, level surface. For outdoor use, press the pointed feet into the ground for added stability.

4.2 Mounting the Laser Level

  1. Carefully place the rotary laser level onto the tripod head.
  2. Secure the laser level to the tripod using the mounting screw on the tripod head. Ensure it is firmly attached.

4.3 Setting up the Measuring Staff

  1. Extend the 5-section measuring staff to its full length (up to 5 meters / 16.4 feet).
  2. Ensure all sections are securely locked in place to maintain rigidity.
  3. The staff features a dual-sided scale for both rough and accurate measurements.

4.4 Powering On and Self-Leveling

  1. Insert the batteries into the laser level unit according to the polarity markings.
  2. Turn on the laser level. The device will automatically begin its self-leveling process.
  3. The self-leveling range is approximately ±5°. If the device is outside this range, it may emit an alarm or the laser beam may flash, indicating it cannot self-level. Adjust the tripod or the unit's position until it levels successfully.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 360-Degree Rotation

Once self-leveled, the laser level emits a continuous 360-degree green laser line, providing a clear and stable reference across the entire workspace. This is ideal for establishing horizontal or vertical planes.

5.2 Using the Laser Receiver and Remote Control

  • For outdoor applications or when the laser line is difficult to see, use the laser receiver to detect the beam.
  • The remote control allows for convenient operation of the laser level from a distance, adjusting rotation speed or switching modes without disturbing the setup.

5.3 Outdoor Measurement

The kit is suitable for outdoor use with a working distance of up to 500 meters in diameter when used with the receiver. Always wear the provided laser glasses to enhance visibility and protect your eyes, especially in bright sunlight.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

Regularly clean the laser level, tripod, and measuring staff. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down surfaces. For the laser lens, use a lens cleaning cloth to avoid scratches. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

6.2 Storage

When not in use, store the entire kit in its hard carrying case in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period.

6.3 Battery Care

Ensure batteries are correctly inserted. Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears. Dispose of used batteries responsibly according to local regulations.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Laser not turning on: Check battery installation and charge level. Ensure the power switch is in the 'ON' position.
  • Laser flashing or alarming: The device is likely outside its self-leveling range. Adjust the tripod or unit position to bring it within ±5° of level.
  • Laser line not visible outdoors: Use the laser receiver to detect the beam. Ensure laser glasses are worn for improved visibility and eye protection.
  • Inaccurate measurements: Verify that the laser level is properly self-leveled. Ensure the measuring staff is fully extended and stable. Check for any obstructions or vibrations affecting the setup.
