Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to properly install your SilverStone SX1000 Platinum power supply into your PC system.

  1. Prepare Your System: Ensure your computer is completely powered off and unplugged from the wall outlet. Open your PC case to access the power supply mounting area.
  2. Mount the Power Supply:
    • If installing in an SFX-L compatible case, slide the power supply into the designated bay and secure it with the provided screws.
    • If installing in an ATX case, attach the included ATX adapter bracket (if applicable) to the power supply first, then mount it into the ATX power supply bay.
  3. Connect Essential Cables:
    • Connect the 24-pin ATX cable to your motherboard.
    • Connect the 4+4-pin CPU (EPS) cable(s) to your motherboard's CPU power connector(s).
    • Connect the 6+2-pin PCIe cables to your graphics card(s) as required.
    • Connect SATA power cables to your SSDs/HDDs and Peripheral (Molex) cables to any other components requiring them.

  4. Cable Management: Route cables neatly to ensure proper airflow within the case. Utilize cable ties or straps if necessary.
