The Philips Avent Anti-Colic bottle is designed to reduce colic, gas, and discomfort by preventing air from entering your baby's tummy during feeding. Its unique anti-colic valve system ensures milk flows smoothly while air is vented away.

Important Safety Information
- Always use this product with adult supervision.
- Never use feeding teats as a soother.
- Continuous and prolonged sucking of fluids will cause tooth decay.
- Always check food temperature before feeding.
- Keep all components not in use out of children's reach.
- Before first use, clean and sterilize all components.
- Inspect before each use and pull the feeding teat in all directions. Discard at the first signs of damage or weakness.
- Do not leave in direct sunlight or heat, or leave in disinfectant ("sterilizing solution") for longer than recommended, as this may weaken the teat.
- Do not allow product to come into contact with oil-based foods (e.g., oil/tomato-based sauces) as staining will occur.
Setup and Assembly
Before First Use:
- Disassemble all parts of the bottle.
- Wash all components thoroughly in warm soapy water.
- Sterilize all components using one of the following methods:
- Boiling: Place components in boiling water for 5 minutes.
- Steam sterilization: Use a Philips Avent steam sterilizer.
- Cold water sterilization: Use a sterilizing solution according to manufacturer's instructions.
Assembling the Bottle:
- Insert the teat into the screw ring, pulling it through until it is securely seated.
- If using the AirFree™ vent, insert it into the bottle rim, ensuring it clicks into place. The vent should be positioned upwards during feeding.
- Screw the assembled teat and screw ring onto the bottle.
- Place the cap over the teat to keep it hygienic.

Operating Instructions
Preparing a Feed:
- Ensure hands are clean before handling sterilized components.
- Prepare formula milk according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Pour the prepared milk into the sterilized bottle.
- Assemble the bottle as described in the "Setup and Assembly" section.
- Always check the temperature of the feed before giving it to your baby by sprinkling a few drops on the inside of your wrist. It should feel lukewarm.
Feeding Your Baby:
When using the AirFree™ vent, ensure it remains in the upward position during feeding. This helps keep the teat full of milk and reduces air ingestion.

Cleaning and Maintenance
After Each Use:
- Disassemble all parts of the bottle.
- Wash all components thoroughly in warm soapy water. Use a bottle brush to clean the inside of the bottle and a small brush for the teat and vent.
- Rinse all components thoroughly with clean water.
- Sterilize all components using one of the methods described in the "Setup and Assembly" section.
- Allow components to air dry or dry with a clean cloth. Store in a clean, dry container.
Storage:
Store cleaned and sterilized components in a dry, covered container. Do not store in direct sunlight or near a heat source.
Replacement:
Inspect teats regularly for signs of wear, such as stickiness, enlargement, or cracks. Replace teats every 3 months or sooner if any damage is observed. Bottles should be replaced if they become scratched, discolored, or show signs of degradation.
