Setup
1. Initial Charging
Your PRO TREK watch is equipped with Tough Solar power. Before initial use, expose the watch face to direct sunlight or strong artificial light for several hours to ensure a full charge. The power indicator on the display will show the current charge level. Avoid prolonged storage in dark places to prevent the battery from depleting.
2. Time and Date Setting
- In Timekeeping Mode, press and hold the ADJUST button (top left) until the city code starts to flash.
- Use the COMP (top right) and ALTI (bottom right) buttons to select your home city code.
- Press the MODE button (bottom left) to cycle through settings: Daylight Saving Time (DST), 12/24-hour format, seconds, hour, minute, year, month, day.
- Use the COMP and ALTI buttons to change the flashing value.
- Once all settings are configured, press the ADJUST button to exit the setting mode.
3. Sensor Calibration (Altimeter, Barometer, Compass)
For accurate readings, it is recommended to calibrate the sensors periodically, especially before critical outdoor activities or after significant changes in environment.
- Altimeter: In Altimeter Mode, if you know your current altitude, you can manually input it for calibration. Refer to a reliable map or GPS device for accurate altitude data.
- Barometer: Calibrate the barometer by inputting a known atmospheric pressure value from a local weather station.
- Compass: Perform a bidirectional calibration by rotating the watch horizontally twice. Follow the on-screen instructions in Compass Mode. Avoid strong magnetic fields during calibration.
Operating the Watch
1. Mode Navigation
Press the MODE button (bottom left) to cycle through the different modes:
- Timekeeping Mode
- Altimeter Mode (ALTI)
- Barometer/Thermometer Mode (BARO)
- Compass Mode (COMP)
- Stopwatch Mode

- World Time Mode
2. Sensor Functions
- Altimeter: Press the ALTI button to enter Altimeter Mode. The watch will display your current altitude.
- Barometer/Thermometer: Press the BARO button to enter Barometer/Thermometer Mode. The watch will display atmospheric pressure and temperature. Note that temperature readings can be affected by body heat when worn on the wrist.
- Compass: Press the COMP button to enter Compass Mode. Hold the watch level and away from magnetic interference for accurate direction readings.
3. Illumination
Press the LIGHT button (bottom center) to illuminate the display for easy viewing in low-light conditions. The duration of illumination can be adjusted in the settings.
Maintenance
1. Cleaning
Wipe the watch regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and moisture. For stubborn dirt, use a soft cloth dampened with water and a mild neutral detergent, then wipe dry. Avoid using volatile agents like thinner or benzine, as they may damage the resin components.
2. Water Resistance
The watch is water-resistant to 200 meters. This means it is suitable for swimming, showering, and snorkeling. However, avoid operating buttons underwater. After exposure to saltwater, rinse the watch with fresh water and wipe it dry.
3. Solar Charging
To maintain optimal battery performance, ensure the watch is regularly exposed to light. Avoid covering the watch face with clothing for extended periods. If the watch is stored in darkness for a long time, the power saving function will activate, and the display may go blank. Expose it to light to reactivate.
4. Storage
When storing the watch for extended periods, choose a location where it can receive light to prevent battery depletion. Avoid extreme temperatures, direct sunlight for very long durations (which can cause overheating), and strong magnetic fields.
Troubleshooting
- Display is blank or dim: The watch may be in power-saving mode or the battery charge is low. Expose the watch face to bright light for several hours to charge.
- Incorrect time: Ensure the home city code and DST settings are correct. If the watch has not been exposed to light for a long time, the internal timekeeping might be affected. Recharge the watch and reset the time if necessary.
- Inaccurate sensor readings (Altimeter, Barometer, Compass): Calibrate the sensors as described in the "Setup" section. Ensure no strong magnetic fields are present when using the compass. Temperature readings can be affected by body heat; remove the watch from your wrist for accurate ambient temperature.
- Buttons are unresponsive: Ensure the watch is not in a locked mode (if applicable, though not specified for this model). If the issue persists, a full reset might be required (consult official Casio support for specific reset procedures for your model).
- Water inside the watch: If moisture appears inside the watch, stop using it immediately and contact a qualified service center.
