2. Safety Instructions

Always observe the following basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury:

  • Ensure the power supply voltage matches the rating label on the appliance.
  • Do not immerse the appliance, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
  • Unplug the appliance from the power outlet when not in use, before cleaning, or before moving.

The top panel features a digital display and touch controls for various functions:

  • Power Button: Turns the unit on or off.

4. Setup

4.1 Unpacking and Assembly

  1. Carefully remove the air cooler and all accessories from the packaging.
  2. Inspect the unit for any signs of damage. If damaged, do not operate and contact customer support.
  3. Attach the four floor casters to the base of the unit by pushing them firmly into the designated slots until they click into place.

4.2 Filling the Water Tank and Using Ice Packs

  1. Pull out the water tank from the bottom rear of the unit.
  2. Fill the tank with clean tap water. Do not exceed the 'MAX' fill line indicated on the tank. The tank capacity is 8 liters.
  3. For enhanced cooling, place the included ice packs in the freezer until completely frozen. Once frozen, add them directly into the water tank.
  4. Carefully slide the water tank back into the unit until it is securely in place.

4.3 Power Connection

Plug the power cord into a standard 220V electrical outlet. Ensure the outlet is easily accessible.

5. Operating Instructions

The air cooler can be operated using the touch control panel on the unit or the included remote control.

5.1 Basic Operation

  • Power On/Off: Press the Power button to turn the unit on or off.
  • Fan Speed: Press the Speed button repeatedly to cycle through Low, Medium, and High fan speeds.
  • Modes: Press the Mode button to select between:
    • Normal Mode: Constant airflow at the selected speed.
    • Nature Mode: Simulates natural breeze with varying fan speeds.
    • Night Mode: Operates at a lower, quieter speed for undisturbed sleep.
  • Oscillation: Press the Oscillation button to activate the 80° horizontal swing function, distributing air across a wider area. Press again to stop.

  • Timer: Press the Timer button to set the auto-off timer in 1-hour increments, up to 9 hours. The display will show the set time.

  • Ionizer: Press the Ionizer button to activate the negative ion generator, which helps to purify the air by removing pollutants and allergens.

5.2 App Control

The Klarstein Skytower Grand Smart can be controlled remotely via the Klarstein mobile application. This allows you to manage modes, speeds, timer settings, and more from your smartphone.

  1. Download the 'Klarstein' app from your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android).
  2. Follow the in-app instructions to connect your air cooler to your home Wi-Fi network.
  3. Once connected, you can control all functions of the air cooler from the app.

6. Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure optimal performance and extend the lifespan of your air cooler.

6.1 Cleaning the Exterior

Wipe the exterior surfaces of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they may damage the finish.

6.2 Cleaning the Water Tank

The water tank should be cleaned regularly, especially if the unit is used frequently or if water has been stagnant for a long time.

  1. Unplug the unit from the power outlet.
  2. Remove the water tank.
  3. Empty any remaining water.
  4. Clean the inside of the tank with a mild detergent and water. Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue.
  5. Dry the tank completely before reinserting it into the unit.

6.3 Cleaning the Evaporative Filter (Humidification Pad)

The evaporative filter should be cleaned periodically to prevent mold growth and maintain efficiency.

  1. Unplug the unit and remove the water tank.
  2. Carefully pull out the evaporative filter assembly from the back of the unit.
  3. Rinse the filter under running water to remove dust and mineral deposits. For stubborn deposits, soak the filter in a mixture of water and white vinegar (1:1 ratio) for 30 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
  4. Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it. The unit has a drying function to help prevent mold growth.

6.4 Storage

If the appliance will not be used for an extended period, unplug it, empty and clean the water tank and filter, and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
