  • Allow at least 10 cm (4 inches) of space around the sides and back of the freezer for proper ventilation.
  • Ensure the ambient temperature is within the recommended operating range for the freezer.

3.3 Electrical Connection

  • Before plugging in, allow the freezer to stand upright for at least 2-4 hours to allow the refrigerant to settle.
  • Connect the power cord to a dedicated, grounded electrical outlet. Do not share the outlet with other appliances.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Initial Start-up

After plugging in the freezer, the internal lamp will illuminate, and the temperature display will show the current internal temperature. Allow the freezer to operate empty for 2-3 hours to reach the desired temperature before loading food.

4.2 Temperature Control

The freezer is equipped with a temperature control knob, usually located on the front or side panel. Rotate the knob to adjust the temperature setting. The temperature display screen will show the set temperature or the current internal temperature, depending on the model's specific functionality.

  • Colder Setting: Rotate towards a higher number or 'Max' for colder temperatures.
  • Warmer Setting: Rotate towards a lower number or 'Min' for warmer temperatures.

4.3 Fast Freeze Function

If your model includes a fast freeze function, activate it when adding a large quantity of fresh food to be frozen. This rapidly lowers the temperature to freeze items quickly, preserving their quality. The fast freeze indicator light will illuminate when this function is active. Deactivate the function after 24 hours or once food is frozen to conserve energy.

4.4 Internal Lamp

The internal lamp illuminates when the freezer lid is opened, providing visibility of the contents.

4.5 Lock and Key

Use the provided lock and key to secure the freezer lid, preventing unauthorized access. Ensure the key is kept in a safe place away from children.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Defrosting

As a defrost model, ice will accumulate over time. Defrost the freezer when the ice layer reaches approximately 0.5 cm (1/4 inch) thickness to maintain efficiency.

  1. Unplug the freezer from the power outlet.
  2. Remove all food items and store them in another freezer or cooler.
  3. Open the lid and place towels on the floor around the freezer to absorb melting ice.
  4. Locate the drain plug (if available) at the bottom of the freezer and remove it to allow water to drain.
  5. Allow the ice to melt naturally. Do not use sharp objects or heating devices to speed up the defrosting process, as this can damage the freezer.
  6. Once all ice has melted, clean the interior thoroughly.
  7. Replace the drain plug, plug in the freezer, and allow it to cool down before returning food items.

5.2 Cleaning

  • Interior: Clean the interior with a solution of warm water and baking soda (2 tablespoons baking soda to 1 liter of water). Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before closing the lid.
  • Exterior: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft cloth dampened with mild detergent and water. Dry with a soft, clean cloth.
  • Gasket: Clean the door gasket regularly to ensure a tight seal.
  • Internal Glass Door: Clean the internal glass door with a glass cleaner or a solution of vinegar and water.
