Setup

1. Physical Setup

Before connecting power, ensure the TV is securely placed on a stable surface or mounted to a wall according to manufacturer's instructions (wall mount sold separately).

Attaching the TV Stand

  1. Carefully place your TV face-down on a clean, cushioned surface to prevent screen damage.
  2. Align the stand legs with the screw holes on the bottom of the TV.
  3. Secure each leg with the provided screws. Ensure they are tightened firmly.

2. Connecting Devices

Connect your external devices such as cable boxes, Blu-ray players, gaming consoles, and sound systems to the TV's ports.

  • HDMI: Connect high-definition devices like Blu-ray players, game consoles, or cable/satellite boxes. This TV features multiple HDMI ports, including one with ARC/eARC support for audio return channel functionality with compatible sound systems.
  • USB: Insert USB drives for media playback.
  • Ethernet: For a wired internet connection.
  • Digital Optical Output: Connect to a soundbar or audio receiver for digital audio.
  • AV In (Composite): Use for older devices with composite video and stereo audio outputs.
  • ANT/CABLE: Connect an antenna for over-the-air broadcasts or a cable TV connection.

3. Power Connection

After all devices are connected, plug the power cord into the TV's power input, then into a wall outlet.

4. Initial Setup and Remote Control

Upon first power-on, the TV will guide you through the initial setup process, including network connection and Fire TV account login.

Pairing the Remote

Insert the provided AAA batteries into the remote. If the remote does not pair automatically, press and hold the Home button for 10 seconds until the LED indicator on the remote flashes blue.

Operating the TV

Fire TV Interface

The Fire TV interface provides access to streaming services, live TV, and connected devices. Navigate using the remote's directional pad and select button.

Alexa Voice Control

Press and hold the microphone button on your remote to activate Alexa. You can use voice commands to:

  • Launch apps (e.g., "Open Netflix")

  • Switch inputs (e.g., "Switch to HDMI 1")

Streaming Services

Live TV

If an antenna is connected, you can access live over-the-air channels through the Live TV section of the Fire TV interface. Channel scanning may be required during initial setup.

Maintenance

Cleaning the TV

  • Always unplug the TV before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the screen and cabinet.
  • For stubborn marks on the screen, lightly dampen a soft cloth with water or a mild, non-abrasive screen cleaner. Do not spray cleaner directly onto the screen.

Remote control not working
  • Replace the batteries.
  • Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the TV.
  • Re-pair the remote by holding the Home button for 10 seconds.
Network connection issues
  • Restart your router and modem.
  • Check Wi-Fi password.
  • If using a wired connection, ensure the Ethernet cable is securely connected.
  • Go to Settings > Network on the TV to reconfigure network settings.

Factory Reset

If you experience persistent issues, a factory reset may resolve them. Be aware that this will erase all personal settings and downloaded apps.

  1. Go to Settings on your Fire TV.
  2. Select My Fire TV.
  3. Choose About.
  4. Select Reset to Factory Defaults.
