4. Compatibility

This remote control is a direct replacement for the following models:

Important: This remote is not universal. To ensure compatibility, verify that your original receiver model is FAN-28R or FAN-18R, or that your original transmitter model is KUJCE9103, FAN-11T, FAN-53T, or FAN-35T. The transmit signal frequency is 303.9 MHz; small frequency differences may still allow for matching.

5. Setup and Installation

5.1. Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
  2. Slide the battery cover off.
  3. Insert one 12V battery (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Replace the battery cover.

5.2. Setting the Code (DIP Switches)

This unit has 16 different code combinations. To set the code, follow these steps:

  1. Setting the code on the remote (transmitter):
    1. Remove the battery cover. Press firmly below the arrow and slide the battery cover off.
    2. Locate the code switches inside the battery compartment. Slide the code switches to your desired combination of up or down positions (factory setting is all up). Use a small screwdriver or a ballpoint pen to adjust the switches.
    3. Replace the battery cover on the transmitter.
  2. Setting the code on the receiver:

    Access the receiver unit (typically located in the ceiling fan canopy). Slide the code switches on the receiver to the exact same positions as set on your remote (transmitter).

NOTE: When installing the remote control, ensure your fan is operated in the "HIGH SPEED" setting and the light is in the "ON" condition at the switch knob before attempting to pair the remote.

5.3. Wall Mount Installation

The included wall mount holder allows for convenient storage of your remote control.

  1. Choose a suitable location on a wall, away from direct sunlight or heat sources.
  2. Use the provided screws and anchors to securely attach the wall mount holder to the wall.
  3. Slide the remote control into the holder.

6. Operating Instructions

Once the remote and receiver codes are matched, you can operate your ceiling fan and light using the remote control buttons:

  • LIGHT / DIMMER Button: Press to turn the light ON or OFF. Press and hold to dim or brighten the light (if your fan's light kit supports dimming).
  • HI Button: Sets the fan speed to High.
  • MED Button: Sets the fan speed to Medium.
  • LO Button: Sets the fan speed to Low.
  • FAN OFF Button: Turns the ceiling fan off.
  • Indicator Light: A red indicator light on the remote will illuminate when any of the buttons are pressed, confirming signal transmission.

Note: This remote control does not include a reverse function button. If your ceiling fan has a reverse function, it must be operated via a switch on the fan motor housing itself.

  • Cleaning: Wipe the remote control with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Replacement: If the remote's range decreases or the indicator light does not illuminate, replace the 12V battery.
