4. Controls and Connections

Familiarize yourself with the various controls and connection points on your looper pedal:

5. Setup

  1. Power Connection: Connect a 9V DC (center negative) power adapter to the DC 9V input jack.
  2. Instrument Connection: Connect your guitar or bass to the Input Jack of the pedal.
  3. Amplifier Connection: Connect the Output Jack of the pedal to your amplifier or the input of the next pedal in your signal chain.
  4. Memory Card Insertion: Insert the provided 1GB memory card into the Card Slot. Ensure it is inserted correctly.

Once connected, the pedal is ready for operation.

6. Basic Operation

6.1 Recording a Loop

  1. Ensure the pedal is powered on and connected.
  2. Press the footswitch once to start recording. The LED indicator will illuminate.
  3. Play your desired phrase.
  4. Press the footswitch again to stop recording and immediately begin playback of your loop.

6.2 Overdubbing

  1. While a loop is playing, press the footswitch once to start overdubbing. The LED indicator will change to indicate overdub mode.
  2. Play your additional phrase.
  3. Press the footswitch again to stop overdubbing and continue playback of the layered loop.

6.3 Playback Control

  • Stop Playback: Double-press the footswitch quickly while a loop is playing.
  • Resume Playback: Press the footswitch once when playback is stopped.

6.4 Undo/Redo

  • Undo Last Overdub: Press and hold the footswitch for approximately 2 seconds during playback.
  • Redo Undone Overdub: Press and hold the footswitch for approximately 2 seconds again to restore the undone overdub.

6.5 Clearing Loops

  • Clear Current Loop: While playback is stopped, press and hold the footswitch for approximately 2 seconds. The LED will flash to confirm the loop is cleared.

7. Mode Selection

The LN-332AS Looper Pedal features a mode switch to alter playback characteristics. Use the toggle switch to select one of the following modes:

  • 1/2 Speed Mode: Plays back recorded loops at half their original speed.
  • NORMAL Mode: Plays back recorded loops at their original speed.
  • REVERSE Mode: Plays back recorded loops in reverse. Recording functionality is disabled in this mode.

8. Data Management

8.1 Saving Loops

Loops are automatically saved to the inserted memory card when the pedal is powered off, provided a loop is present. The 1GB memory card can store multiple loops up to the maximum recording time.

8.2 Importing/Exporting Loops (PC/MAC)

You can transfer loop files between the pedal's memory card and your computer:

  1. Connect the LN-332AS pedal to your computer using a USB cable.
  2. The pedal will appear as a removable storage device (similar to a USB drive).
  3. You can drag and drop WAV audio files to and from the pedal's memory card.
  4. Note: Only WAV audio files are supported. Windows operating systems typically do not require additional software or drivers for this function.

9. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the pedal's exterior. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.

  • Loop Not Recording/Playing: Ensure the memory card is properly inserted. Try clearing any existing loops.
  • Computer Not Recognizing Pedal: Ensure the USB cable is securely connected. Try a different USB port or cable. Ensure only WAV files are being transferred.
