4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Speaker

  1. Connect the Micro-USB charging cable to the charging port on the speaker.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
  3. The charging indicator light will illuminate, typically red, during charging.
  4. Once fully charged, the indicator light may change color or turn off. A full charge provides up to 2 hours of playback.

Note: For first-time use, fully charge the speaker before operation.

4.2 Power On/Off

  • To Power On: Press and hold the Power button for approximately 3 seconds. An audible prompt will indicate the speaker is on.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the Power button for approximately 3 seconds. An audible prompt will indicate the speaker is turning off.

4.3 Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Ensure the speaker is powered on and in Bluetooth mode. If not, press the Mode button to switch to Bluetooth. The speaker will enter pairing mode, indicated by a flashing LED light.
  2. On your smartphone, tablet, or other Bluetooth-enabled device, navigate to the Bluetooth settings.
  3. Search for available devices. You should see "Q215" or "Linktech Q215" in the list.
  4. Select "Q215" to connect. Once paired, the speaker will emit an audible confirmation, and the LED light will stop flashing.
  5. You can now play audio from your device through the speaker.

Note: The speaker will automatically attempt to reconnect to the last paired device when powered on, if that device is within range and has Bluetooth enabled.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Mode Selection

Press the Mode button (usually labeled 'M') to cycle through available playback modes: Bluetooth, Micro SD, USB, and FM Radio.

5.2 Bluetooth Playback

  • Ensure your device is paired as described in Section 4.3.
  • Control playback (play/pause, next/previous track, volume) directly from your connected device or using the speaker's control buttons.

5.3 Micro SD Card / USB Flash Drive Playback

  1. Insert a Micro SD card or USB flash drive (containing MP3 audio files) into the respective slot on the speaker.
  2. The speaker will automatically switch to Micro SD or USB mode and begin playing audio. If not, press the Mode button to select the correct source.
  3. Use the speaker's control buttons for play/pause, next/previous track, and volume adjustment.

5.4 AUX Input Playback

  1. Connect one end of the 3.5mm audio cable to the AUX input port on the speaker.
  2. Connect the other end to the headphone jack of your audio source (e.g., MP3 player, laptop).
  3. The speaker will automatically switch to AUX mode. If not, press the Mode button to select AUX.
  4. Control playback and volume primarily from your connected audio source.

5.5 FM Radio Operation

  1. Press the Mode button to switch to FM Radio mode.
  2. To auto-scan and save available stations, press and hold the Play/Pause button. The speaker will scan and store stations automatically.
  3. Use the Next/Previous track buttons to navigate between saved stations.
  4. Adjust volume using the speaker's volume controls.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the speaker's surface. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: Store the speaker in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures when not in use for extended periods.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the speaker regularly, even if not in use.
  • Water Resistance: While designed for outdoor use, avoid submerging the speaker in water or exposing it to heavy rain.
