Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Riloer Car HUD Display M10, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the display screen and the unit's exterior. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the surface.
  • Temperature: The device is designed to operate within an ambient temperature range of -40℃ to +120℃. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures outside this range for prolonged periods.
  • Storage: If storing the unit for an extended period, disconnect it from the vehicle's OBD2 port and store it in a cool, dry place.
  • Cable Care: Ensure the OBD cable is not pinched, cut, or excessively bent, as this can damage the internal wiring.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Riloer Car HUD Display M10, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:

No Display / Unit Does Not Power On

  • Check OBD Connection: Ensure the OBD cable is securely connected to both the HUD unit and the vehicle's OBD2 port.
  • Vehicle Compatibility: Verify that your vehicle is OBD II compliant and falls within the compatible production years (after 2004 for European/American, after 2008 for Asian models).
  • Vehicle Power: Ensure your vehicle's engine is running or the ignition is in the ON position, as the HUD draws power from the OBD2 port.

Display Turns Off Periodically (e.g., every 20 seconds)

  • This behavior might indicate an issue with the OBD2 connection stability or a power supply interruption.
  • Re-seat Cable: Disconnect and firmly re-connect the OBD cable at both ends.
  • Test on Another Vehicle (if possible): If the issue persists, try testing the HUD unit in another compatible vehicle to determine if the problem lies with the HUD or your vehicle's OBD2 port.
  • Consult Vehicle Manual: Some vehicles may have specific power-saving modes or OBD port configurations that could affect continuous power supply.

Inaccurate Speed or RPM Readings

  • Unit Settings: The HUD may require calibration for speed or RPM. Access the settings menu using the Wave button and adjust the calibration parameters according to your vehicle's actual readings (e.g., compare with your car's dashboard speedometer).
  • Unit of Measurement: Ensure the correct unit of measurement (km/h or MPH) is selected in the settings.

Double Reflection on Windshield

  • Apply Reflective Film: If you haven't already, apply the provided reflective film to the windshield. This film is designed to eliminate double reflections.
  • Adjust Position: Slightly adjust the angle or position of the HUD unit to minimize reflections.

If these troubleshooting steps do not resolve your issue, please contact Riloer customer support for further assistance.
