Contamination or improper use of this product may cause fire, explosion, or the release of toxic gases. Do not allow this product to contact any foreign matter, including other water treatment products. If the product is exposed to small amounts of water, it can react to cause explosion or the release of toxic gases. Do not mix this product with a small amount of water. Only add directly to your spa. This product is corrosive, causes irreversible eye damage and skin burns. It may be fatal if inhaled, swallowed, or absorbed through the skin.

• Wear safety glasses, face shield or goggles, and rubber gloves. For additional protection of skin, wear long sleeves and long pants.
• Wash hands thoroughly after handling and before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco, or using the toilet.
• Remove contaminated clothing and wash clothing before reuse.

Physical or Chemical Hazard:

• DANGER. If product is exposed to small amounts of water, it can react violently to produce heat and toxic gas and spatter.
• Do not add water to this product. Add only into water.
• Do not allow to become wet or damp before use.
• Can react with other materials, including other water treatment products, to cause fire, explosion, and the release of toxic gases.
• Keep all foreign matter, including other water treatment products, away from this product.
• Use only clean, dry utensils to dispense this product.

Directions for Use

It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. Re-entry into treated spas/hot tubs is prohibited above levels of 5 parts per million (ppm) free residual chlorine. Read all Precautionary Statements before use.

Use only a clean, dry scoop to measure this product. Do not use the scoop for any other purpose.

For Regular Dosage:

1. Chlorinate: Add 1/2 oz. of this product per 500 gallons of water to the water prior to entering the spa. Wait 5 minutes and then check the chlorine residual. The residual chlorine must read between 2 to 3 ppm. If it does not, additional dosages of material should be added until it does. Once the chlorine residual is established in the 2 to 3 ppm range, the spa or hot tub may be entered.
2. Maintain: This product should be added daily or as necessary to maintain a 2 to 3 ppm residual chlorine reading. Frequent checks should be made of residual chlorine using a reliable test kit. This product should be broadcast over the surface of the water and allowed at least 5 minutes mix time before testing.

   Note: Heavy bather usage or the use of oils or lotion may increase the chlorine demand of the spa or hot tub, resulting in the need for more frequent checks of chlorine residual.

3. Check pH: The pH should be monitored with a reliable test kit and maintained in the 7.2 to 7.8 range for clean, sparkling water. The pH can be decreased by adding a suitable agent such as sodium bisulphate or increased by adding a suitable agent such as sodium bicarbonate.
4. Superchlorination: It is good practice to superchlorinate every 2 to 4 weeks to control odors and algae. To superchlorinate, add 1 oz. of this product per 500 gallons of water. Resume program when chlorine residual reads 2 to 3 ppm.

Storage & Disposal

• Keep this product dry in its tightly closed container when not in use.
• Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area. Keep away from heat or open flame.
• Non-refillable container. Do not reuse or refill this container.
• Rinse empty container thoroughly with water to dissolve all material prior to disposal.
• Offer for recycling if available.
• Do not contaminate food or feed by storage or disposal or cleaning of equipment.
