The MELUCEE Brushed Nickel 3-Light Vanity Light features a sleek rectangular back plate and square arms with a brushed nickel finish. 5. Installation Instructions

Follow these steps carefully for proper installation. If you are not familiar with electrical wiring, consult a qualified electrician.

5.1 Tools Required (Not Included)

  • Phillips Head Screwdriver
  • Flathead Screwdriver
  • Wire Strippers
  • Pliers
  • Electrical Tape
  • Safety Glasses

5.2 Installation Steps

  1. Turn Off Power: Locate the circuit breaker controlling the light fixture's power supply and turn it OFF. Ensure power is disconnected before proceeding.
  2. Remove Old Fixture (if applicable): Carefully remove the existing light fixture from the wall. Disconnect all wiring.
  3. Attach Mounting Plate: Secure the provided mounting plate to the junction box using the screws. Ensure it is firmly attached.
  4. Wire Connections:
    • Connect the black wire from the fixture to the black (live) wire from the junction box using a wire nut.
    • Connect the white wire from the fixture to the white (neutral) wire from the junction box using a wire nut.
    • Connect the ground wire (bare copper or green) from the fixture to the ground wire from the junction box and the mounting plate using a wire nut.
    • Wrap electrical tape around each wire nut connection for added security.
  5. Mount Fixture Body: Carefully align the fixture body with the mounting plate and secure it with the provided screws.
  6. Install Glass Shades: Attach the hammered glass shades to the fixture. Ensure they are securely fastened.
  7. Install Bulbs: Screw in three E26 base bulbs (max 60W each, not included) into the sockets.
  8. Restore Power: Turn the power back ON at the circuit breaker. Test the light fixture.

6. Operating Instructions

The MELUCEE Vanity Light operates via a standard wall switch. If a compatible dimmer switch and dimmable bulbs are installed, the light fixture can be dimmed to adjust brightness levels.

  • Turning On/Off: Use the wall switch connected to the fixture to turn the light on or off.
  • Dimming (Optional): If a dimmer switch is installed, rotate or slide the dimmer control to adjust the light intensity. Ensure you are using dimmable E26 bulbs for this functionality.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your light fixture.

  • Cleaning: Disconnect power before cleaning. Wipe the fixture with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the finish or glass.
  • Bulb Replacement: Disconnect power before replacing bulbs. Allow bulbs to cool completely. Unscrew old bulbs and replace with new E26 base bulbs (max 60W).
  • Glass Shade Care: The hammered glass shades can be carefully removed for cleaning if necessary. Wash with mild soap and water, rinse thoroughly, and dry completely before reattaching.
