1. Introduction

2. Important Safety Information

When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following:

• Read all instructions before using this heater.
• This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces.
• Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the heater is left operating unattended.
• Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
• To disconnect heater, turn controls to off, then remove plug from outlet.
• Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.
• To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
• This heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable vapors or liquids are used or stored.
• Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
• Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/receptacle. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/power strip).

4. Installation Guide

This electric fireplace is designed for recessed installation in a wall or cabinet, or can be used freestanding. Ensure the chosen location is dry, level, and has access to a standard 120V, 60Hz electrical outlet.

4.1 Site Preparation

• Ensure the area is clear of obstructions and flammable materials.
• For recessed installation, create an opening that accommodates the fireplace dimensions. Refer to the diagram below for precise measurements.
• Ensure the power cord can reach a grounded outlet without being stretched or pinched.

4.2 Recessed Installation

1. Prepare the wall or cabinet opening according to the dimensions provided in Figure 2. The recommended opening size is approximately 32.7 inches wide by 15.6 inches high by 6.5 inches deep.
2. Carefully slide the fireplace unit into the prepared opening.
3. Secure the fireplace unit using appropriate mounting hardware (not included, as specific hardware depends on wall/cabinet material) through the designated mounting holes on the unit's frame.
4. Plug the power cord into a standard 120V, 60Hz grounded electrical outlet.

4.3 Freestanding Installation

1. Place the fireplace unit on a firm, level surface.
2. Ensure there is adequate clearance around the unit for proper ventilation (at least 3 feet from combustible materials).
3. Plug the power cord into a standard 120V, 60Hz grounded electrical outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

Your electric fireplace can be operated using the control panel located on the unit (refer to Figure 3) or the included infra-red remote control.

5.1 Control Panel Operation

The control panel features several buttons for direct control:

• Power Button: Turns the fireplace ON/OFF.
• Flame Button: Cycles through multiple flame brightness settings.
• Heat Button: Activates the heating function. Press to cycle through heat settings (e.g., Low, High, Off). The unit provides 5118 BTU heat output, rated at 1400 watts at 120V 60Hz.
• Timer Button: Sets the auto-off timer from 1 to 8 hours.
• Temperature Control: The unit features automatic room temperature control, maintaining a temperature between 64°F and 82°F.

5.2 Remote Control Operation

The infra-red remote control duplicates the functions of the control panel, allowing convenient operation from a distance. Ensure the remote has working batteries and is pointed towards the fireplace unit.

• Flame: Adjusts flame brightness.
• Heat: Controls heat settings.

Note: The flame effect can be enjoyed independently without activating the heating function.
