Setup and Charging

  1. Initial Charge: Before first use, fully charge the electric knife handle. Connect the charging plug to the handle and then to a standard electrical outlet. The charging indicator light will illuminate. A full charge takes approximately 1.5 hours and provides up to 70 minutes of continuous use.
  2. Blade Assembly: Select the appropriate blade set for your task. Hold the blades with the serrated edges facing away from you. Align the two blade sections and slide them together until they lock.
  3. Inserting Blades: With the knife handle unplugged and turned off, insert the assembled blade set into the blade slot on the front of the handle. Push firmly until you hear a click, indicating the blades are securely locked in place. Ensure the safety lock is engaged before inserting or removing blades.

Operating Instructions

The Elite Gourmet EK9810 is designed for precision slicing and carving of various foods.

  1. Safety Lock: The knife features a safety lock trigger release. To operate, you must press and hold the safety button (usually located on the side or top of the handle) with your thumb, then press the power trigger with your index finger. Releasing either button will stop the blades.
  2. Carving Meats: For carving roasted meats like turkey, ham, or roast beef, use the longer, more robust blade set. Place the meat on a stable cutting surface. Hold the meat firmly with a carving fork. Guide the knife through the meat with a gentle, steady motion. Allow the oscillating blades to do the work; do not force the knife.
  3. Person carving a roasted chicken with the electric knife

  4. Slicing Breads: For slicing fresh bread, cakes, or delicate items, use the finer serrated blade set. Place the item on a clean, stable surface. Guide the knife gently to achieve even slices without crushing the texture.
  5. Person slicing a baguette with the electric knife

  6. General Slicing: The knife can also be used for slicing various fruits, vegetables, and even crafting foam for DIY projects. Always ensure the item is stable and use appropriate safety measures.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Proper cleaning and maintenance ensure the longevity and performance of your electric knife.

  • Blade Removal: After each use, ensure the knife is turned off and the safety lock is engaged. Press the blade release button (eject button) and carefully pull the blades out of the handle.
  • Blade Cleaning: The stainless steel blades are dishwasher-safe. Alternatively, they can be hand-washed with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry immediately to prevent water spots or corrosion.
  • Handle Cleaning: The electric knife handle should never be immersed in water or other liquids. Wipe the handle clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.
  • Storage: Store the knife handle and blades separately in a safe place, away from children. Ensure blades are completely dry before storage.
