Setup Guide

  1. Download the Smart Life App:

    Search for "Smart Life" in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and download the application. You can also scan the QR code provided in the product packaging (if available).

  2. Register/Log In:

    Open the Smart Life app and register a new account or log in with an existing one.

  3. Plug In the Smart Plug:

    Insert the E T EASYTAO Smart Plug into a standard wall outlet. Ensure the indicator light on the plug is blinking rapidly. If not, press and hold the power button on the plug for 5-10 seconds until it blinks rapidly.

  4. Add Device in App:

    In the Smart Life app, tap the "+" icon in the top right corner to add a device. Select "Electrical Outlet" or "Socket (Wi-Fi)".

  5. Connect to Wi-Fi:

    Confirm that the indicator light on the smart plug is blinking rapidly. Enter your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network password. The smart plug only supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks. If you have a dual-band router, ensure your phone is connected to the 2.4 GHz band during setup.

  6. Pairing Complete:

    Once connected, the app will confirm the device has been added successfully. You can then rename the smart plug for easier control.

Operating Instructions

App Control

After successful setup, you can control your smart plug from anywhere using the Smart Life app. Tap on the device icon to turn it on or off. The app also allows you to monitor the status of your connected devices.

Voice Control (Alexa & Google Home)

To enable voice control, link your Smart Life account with Amazon Alexa or Google Home Assistant through their respective apps. Once linked, you can use voice commands to control your devices.

  • For Alexa: Say, "Alexa, turn on [device name]" or "Alexa, turn off [device name]".
  • For Google Home: Say, "Hey Google, turn on [device name]" or "Hey Google, turn off [device name]".

Timer and Schedule Functions

Set custom schedules for your devices to automate their operation. This is ideal for lights, heaters, or charging electronics.

  • Open the Smart Life app, select your smart plug, and navigate to the "Schedule" or "Timer" section.
  • Add new schedules by setting the desired time for the device to turn on or off.
  • You can also set countdown timers for specific tasks.

Maintenance

  • Storage: Store the smart plug in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture when not in use.
  • Safe Usage: Do not exceed the maximum load capacity of the smart plug (10 Amperes, 1200 Watts). Avoid using in wet environments or outdoors unless specifically rated for such conditions.

Troubleshooting

  • Restart your Wi-Fi router.
  • Update the Smart Life app to the latest version.
Voice control not working.
  • Ensure your Smart Life account is correctly linked to Amazon Alexa or Google Home Assistant.
  • Check the device name in the Smart Life app and use that exact name in your voice commands.
  • Verify your Alexa/Google Home device is connected to the internet.
Smart plug does not turn on automatically after a power outage.

This model may default to OFF after a power outage. You may need to manually turn it on or configure an automation rule in the Smart Life app (or Tuya app, if compatible) to set its state after power restoration.
