Setup
Follow these steps to set up your Sangyn Classic Retro Push-Button Corded Telephone:
- Unpack the Telephone: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure you have the telephone base, handset, coiled handset cord, and telephone line cord.
- Connect the Handset: Plug one end of the coiled handset cord into the port on the side of the telephone base and the other end into the handset. Ensure a secure connection.
- Connect to Telephone Line: Locate the telephone line jack on the underside of the telephone base. Plug one end of the telephone line cord into this jack and the other end into your wall telephone outlet (RJ11 connection).

Your telephone is now ready for use. This phone is designed to work directly with your telephone line and does not require an external power supply or batteries.
Operating Instructions
Making a Call
- Lift the Handset: Pick up the handset from the telephone base. You should hear a dial tone.
- Dial the Number: Press the desired numbers on the push-button dial pad.
- End the Call: Place the handset back onto the telephone base to disconnect the call.
Redialing the Last Number
To redial the last number called:
- Lift the Handset: Pick up the handset.
- Press Redial: Press the 'REDIAL' button located in the center of the dial pad. The telephone will automatically dial the last number.

Adjusting Ringer and Receiver Volume
The telephone features adjustable ringer and receiver volume controls on its underside.
- Ringer Volume Switch: Slide the 'RINGER' switch to adjust the volume of the incoming call chime or to turn it ON/OFF.
- Receiver Volume Switch: Slide the 'VOLUME' switch to adjust the sound level heard through the handset during a call.

Maintenance

Troubleshooting

- Cannot Make or Receive Calls:

- Ensure the handset is properly seated on the base when not in use.
- Ringer Not Working:
- Check the 'RINGER' switch on the underside of the phone and ensure it is set to 'ON' and the volume is adjusted appropriately.
- Poor Sound Quality:
- Adjust the 'VOLUME' switch on the underside of the phone.
- Ensure the handset cord is securely connected.
