1. Introduction
This manual provides essential instructions for the assembly, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your Arrow Classic Steel Storage Shed (Model CLG65FG). This 6' x 5' outdoor storage solution is designed to protect your landscaping equipment, tools, and gardening supplies. Constructed from durable galvanized steel with a Valspar exterior polyester paint finish, it offers protection against corrosion, rust, and weather elements. Please read this manual thoroughly before beginning assembly or use to ensure safe and proper installation and longevity of your shed.
2. Safety Information
CAUTION: Always wear protective gloves and eyewear when handling sharp or heavy components during assembly. Do not exceed the maximum weight limit stated in the assembly instructions. Ensure the outbuilding is anchored securely to the ground to prevent tipping. Keep children and pets away from the assembly area.
Always follow local building codes and regulations when installing your shed. Proper site preparation is crucial for stability and drainage.
3. Setup & Assembly
The Arrow Classic Steel Storage Shed comes with pre-cut and pre-drilled parts for simplified assembly. We recommend at least two people for assembly, and to set aside approximately 6 or more hours for completion. A solid, level foundation is essential for the shed's stability and proper door operation.
3.1 Site Preparation
Choose a level site for your shed. Ensure adequate drainage to prevent water accumulation around the base. Clear the area of any debris, rocks, or vegetation.
3.2 Assembly Steps Overview
- Unpack and Organize: Carefully unpack all components and verify against the parts list provided in your separate assembly guide. Organize parts by type and size.
- Base Assembly: Assemble the base frame on your prepared site. Ensure it is square and level.
- Wall Panel Installation: Attach the vertical wall panels to the base frame. Secure all fasteners as directed.
- Roof Assembly: Construct and install the low gable roof. This design helps prevent water pooling.
- Door Installation: Install the sliding doors, ensuring they glide smoothly on their tracks.
- Anchoring: Securely anchor the shed to the ground using appropriate anchoring kits (sold separately or as recommended by local codes) to prevent wind damage.
3.3 Assembly Tips
- Refer to the detailed graphical instructions included in your product packaging for step-by-step guidance.
- Do not overtighten fasteners during initial assembly; tighten fully once sections are aligned.
- Use a step ladder for roof assembly and ensure stable footing.

4.3 Storage Capacity

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance will extend the life and appearance of your Arrow Classic Steel Storage Shed.
5.1 Cleaning
Clean the exterior of the shed periodically with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, which can damage the Valspar polyester paint finish. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
5.2 Rust and Corrosion Prevention
The shed's galvanized steel construction and Valspar paint finish provide excellent protection against rust and corrosion. Inspect the shed annually for any signs of paint chipping or scratches. Touch up any damaged areas with appropriate outdoor metal paint to maintain protection.

5.3 Roof and Drainage
The low gable roof pitch is designed to prevent water pooling. Periodically clear the roof of any accumulated leaves, snow, or debris to ensure proper drainage and prevent excessive weight on the structure.

5.4 Door Tracks
Keep the sliding door tracks clean and free of dirt or debris to ensure smooth operation. Lubricate the tracks annually with a silicone-based spray if needed.
6. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your storage shed.
6.1 Doors Sticking or Not Sliding Smoothly
- Check for Obstructions: Inspect the door tracks for any dirt, debris, or small objects that might be impeding movement. Clean the tracks thoroughly.
- Lubrication: Apply a silicone-based lubricant to the door glides and tracks.
- Levelness: Ensure the shed's base is perfectly level. An uneven base can cause doors to bind. Adjust the foundation if necessary.
6.2 Water Leaks Inside the Shed
- Check Roof Seams: Inspect all roof panel seams and fasteners for proper sealing. Apply outdoor-grade sealant if any gaps are found.
- Foundation Drainage: Ensure water is not pooling around the base of the shed. Improve site drainage if necessary.
- Wall Panel Alignment: Verify that all wall panels are correctly overlapped and fastened according to the assembly instructions.
6.3 Loose Panels or Components
- Periodically check all screws, bolts, and fasteners for tightness. Retighten as needed, but do not overtighten.
- Ensure the shed is properly anchored to prevent movement during high winds.
