2. Package Contents
Verify that all items are present in your package:

3. Setup
3.1. Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the walkie talkie.
- Push the clip on the battery cover downwards and slide the cover off.
- Insert 3 x 1000mAh NI-MH AA rechargeable batteries into the compartment, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Replace the battery compartment cover by sliding it back into place until it clicks securely.
3.2. Charging the Batteries
The walkie talkies come with rechargeable batteries and a micro-USB charging cable for convenient charging. A full charge provides approximately 63 hours of standby time.
- Connect the micro-USB charging cable to the charging port located at the bottom of the walkie talkie.
- Connect the other end of the USB cable to the provided USB power adapter, a power bank, or a vehicle adapter.
- Plug the USB power adapter into a standard wall outlet.
- The battery indicator on the LCD screen will show charging status. Charging typically takes about 3 hours.

4.1. Power On/Off
To power on or off the walkie talkie, press and hold the MENU/Power button located at the bottom center of the front panel.
4.2. Adjusting Volume
Use the Up (▲) and Down (▼) buttons to adjust the volume level from 1 to 8. The current volume level will be displayed on the LCD screen.
4.3. Push-to-Talk (PTT) Button
To transmit your voice, press and hold the PTT button on the left side of the walkie talkie. Speak clearly into the microphone. Release the PTT button to listen for a response.
4.4. Call Button
Press the CALL button to send an audible call tone to other walkie talkies on the same channel and privacy code. There are 10 selectable call tones.
4.5. Keypad Lock
To prevent accidental changes to settings, press and hold the CALL/Lock button for 2 seconds to lock the keypad. The lock icon will appear on the LCD. Repeat the action to unlock.
4.6. Channel Selection
Your walkie talkies have 22 FRS channels. To change the channel:
- Press the MENU button once. The channel number will flash.
- Use the Up (▲) or Down (▼) buttons to select your desired channel.
- Press PTT or MENU again to confirm and exit.
4.7. CTCSS/DCS Privacy Codes
The M920 supports 38 CTCSS (Continuous Tone-Coded Squelch System) and 98 DCS (Digitally Coded Squelch) privacy codes. These codes help filter out unwanted conversations on the same channel.
- Press the MENU button twice for CTCSS or three times for DCS. The code number will flash.
- Use the Up (▲) or Down (▼) buttons to select your desired code.
- Press PTT or MENU again to confirm and exit.
4.8. VOX (Voice Operated Exchange)
VOX allows for hands-free operation. When VOX is enabled, the walkie talkie will automatically transmit when it detects your voice.
- Press the MENU button until "VOX" appears on the display.
- Use the Up (▲) or Down (▼) buttons to select the VOX sensitivity level (LE1 to LE3, with LE3 being the most sensitive). You can also select "OF" to turn VOX off.

The M920 features NOAA Weather Scan, which automatically scans through 25 available weather (WX) band channels and locks onto the strongest weather channel to alert you of severe weather updates. NOAA Weather Alert will sound an alarm if there is a risk of severe weather in your area.
- To activate Weather Scan, press and hold the SCAN/NOAA button.
- The radio will scan for active weather channels.
- To exit Weather Scan, press and hold the SCAN/NOAA button again.

The Roger Beep is an audible tone transmitted when you release the PTT button, signaling to other users that you have finished speaking.
